The positive reviews accurately portray Hale Ho'o Maha as the truly lovely B&B that it is. My husband and I recently returned from Kaua'i, and we also stayed in the beautifully appointed Guava room. I didn't see the other rooms, but I imagine that they are just as nice. The entire place, including the common area, is very clean and... more

From the moment we arrived at this lovely b&b, I felt welcomed by a new found family with a beautifully constructed home. Toby was a sarcastic and down to earth guy who felt like a long lost uncle. He told great stories and advised us on the local spots of the island. Kirby was adorable in her island wear and... more

My wife and I hikes the Kalalau trail, and since Hale Ho'o Maha was near the End of tahe Road, we elected to stay there after we had finished. We arranged to have our stove and food shipped ahead of time, which they graciously picked up, and they even helped with a bit of camping fuel. The Kalalau hike was... more

We stayed here for 4 days and it was very comfortable and relaxing. The room (pineapple suite) was a nice size, with an equally well appointed bathroom and a patio as well. The house is very open and pretty, with a nice common area and wrap around porches looking at either mountains or toward the ocean. If you enjoy fresh... more

The house is run by a lovely couple with a great sense of humor. They run it meticulously and have thought of everything you need to have a good time and provide it (free snorkels and fins, hot tub and outdoor shower downstairs, wireless access, gas grill that you can barbecu on, free dvds for you to borrow, tv and... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night on our most recent visit to Kauai and have nothing but great things to say about it! A few of our favorite features were the outdoor shower and jacuzzi, beautifully painted elevator, delish breakfast and friendly hosts. This is the perfect place to stay if you are spitting your trip between... more

We arrived on the North Shore of Kauai with very few expectations and were blown away by the accommodations at Hale Ho'o Maha. The rooms were immaculately clean and tastefully decorated with large bathrooms and nice showers. Our room, the Papaya Suite, had a private deck and was large by our standards (how much room do you really need?) The... more

Toby & Kirby were very charming. If you like a dry sense of humor you will love Toby; we did. The B&B is not on the ocean but is only a 3 minute walk. We stayed in the papaya room and had a scenic view with the mountain in the background. Toby & Kibry are very knowledgeable of the area.... more

The inn keepers Kirby and Toby were great hosts! The home is a short walk from the shore and provides great views of the mountains. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed in the Pineapple and Papaya rooms. They feature the cleanest amenities we experienced during our stay on three islands. Kirby was kind enough to help us arrange a car... more
