We spent our 3d wedding anniversary at this lovely place in one of the most beutiful areas in the world. The house on stilts houses some nice rooms which are nicely decorated (we had the pineapple suite) and perfectly clean. The location is quiet and it is just 1min away from an empty clean beach. Every rooms has it's on... more

My 3-day stay at Hale Ho`o Maha was amazing. The b&b was clean, spacious and charming, a mile away from Tunnels beach (awesome for snorkeling) and 2-3 miles away from the kalalau trail (a must -do for hikers). More importantly, Kirby has to be one of the most gracious hosts that I've ever encountered - friendly and helpful without overbearing.... more

Charming B&B and hosts. Very clean. Primo location. Very enjoyable breakfasts although we missed out on the Macadamia nut waffles. Interacting with the other guests was great for information on what to do and the free Wi-Fi was a plus. We took full advantage of the snorkel gear and beach chairs available to us. The experience was exactly like we... more

My husband and I stayed here in the summer of 05' and realized that we had not written a review. We had a wonderful stay at this bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were fabulous and each morning brought a new mystery. The owners provided helpful information about the area and since they have been living there for quite some time,... more

I cant even think of the words to describe what a awesome time we had at Hale Ho`o Maha Bed & Breakfast! The North Shore is gorgeous and the B&B was relaxing and fun! Toby and Kirby are awesome! We stayed in the Pineapple room and it was perfect, although I did peek at a few of the other rooms... more

This is a B&B and not the Le Meridan....part of a stay is the quirky-ness that goes a long with it! We have stayed in hundreds of B&Bs around the world and this was by far one of our most memorable!!! We still talk about it! Staying in B&Bs also... is having a human connection with the owners and their... more

I just finished my second stay at this wonderfully beautiful house with it's gracious hosts. I can't wait to get back there. After staying in many hotels and BBs around the world, this one is my favorite. The house itself is spotlessly clean, decorated with Hawaiian antiques and local artwork. Each room has a fruit theme that carries over to... more

We were incredibly impressed by this beautiful new home. Perched above the ground, it afforded lovely views of a meadow (even a horse) and spectacular green mountains from our bedroom. A short walk and we were at the beach. What more could one ask? Well, an impromptu hula performance by Kirby, the hostess, and a few of her friends, and... more

My husband and I had a similar experience as the other posts. Last year when we stayed there a couple of nights it was an uncomfortable experience. The husband does not appear to like the business and you feel like you are staying in THEIR HOME as opposed to how bed & breakfasts normally feel (set up primarily for visitors).... more

We were amazingly uncomfortable during our stay. We did not feel welcome in the common room, I felt like a scolded child when i spilled some liquid on the floor, and breakfast was one single piece of French toast, which was quite tasty but left us hungry for more. Our room was comfortable, the proximity to the beach was great,... more
