Our only complaint is that our stay was far too short ... only two days. Could happily have stayed here far longer. Kirby and Toby were wonderful hosts at this amazing and truly beautiful B&B stuck away on the north shore. Rooms (ours was Mango Room) are large, exceptionally comfortable and well outfitted. Breakfasts (sadly we only had two) were... More

Aloha, Awhh yes two days is just enough time to realize you want to stay forever...or at least a week. We find our guests just love the remote feel of our spot. Our Mango room is one four rooms and we really enjoy providing a comfortable, clean and abundant environment. Toby takes such pride in providing a great breakfast and... More

We stayed at the Hale Ho'o Maha B&B for the first week of March 2015 and had the most wonderful relaxing stay there. The breakfasts were delicious and ample with plenty of fresh fruit (papayas picked in the back yard each day), our room was spacious, quiet, and beautiful (with fresh flowers through the week), the hosts, Kirby and Toby,... Aloha Elizabeth, Mahalo nui for writing about your stay with us. We too feel like our guests become our good friends and we love to provide the perfect spot to relax ( without missing anything). Gotta love those papayas when you can watch them grow from your balcony, the perfect activity for peace and quiet. Toby really enjoys sharing his... More

This lovely B&B and its friendly, super-laid-back hosts was a perfect location from which to explore the North Shore of Kauai. We especially enjoyed the offered freedom to invade the kitchen to boil a pot of tea at any time of day or night, and the fun (and challenge!) of choosing our teas from an overwhelming selection of 50+ different... Aloha Arthur and Susan, We are delighted you enjoyed your stay as much as we enjoyed your visit. We hope you will consider us your home away from home. That tea selection is just too good to resist isn't it...makes you want to linger and enjoy the library. Our kitchen is your kitchen and Toby does love to share his... More

We loved our stay!! Kirby and Toby met us upon arrival and immediately welcomed us to their home by showing us around the property. They were very gracious to let us use the kitchen when we wanted, and even had great amenities we weren't expecting (hot tub, snorkel and beach gear). We also loved the parrot that welcomed us=) We... More

Toby and Kirby have designed and built the most incredible B&B - probably the most unique space we've stayed at. They are seasoned hosts - and it really does show. Everything has been so well considered and we really didn't want for anything - there was even an elevator to carry your bags up to the upper floor. Our room... More

Its wonderful to be recognized for the love we have put into our B&B design. Did you know we used suggestions from over 30 years of guests input! Mahalo for your appreciation! Our elevator decorated by a local artist is something we felt was essential to a premium experience! Toby prepare his food with love and pride too...we have so... More

This was a great discovery and I'm so glad we stayed here. The place is in an amazing spot, just a minite stroll to a lovely beach and very close to all the other stunning beaches of the north shore. It is immaculately clean and taken care of and Toby and Kirby are delightful and quirky. We stayed in the... More

My boyfriend & I loved our two-night stay at Hale Ho'o Maha - great room (we had the Pineapple suite), common area, location (away from the bustle of "downtown" Hanalei & close to great beaches & amazing hiking along the Na Pali coast). We loved our stay at the Halo Ho'o Maha. Kirby and Toby really made it a joyful time. The breakfast is excellent. And if you look for a home base for trips a long the Na Pali coast - that's just the place you should consider. The B&B does provide the usual beach gear and has a jacuzzi.

This B&B is in a residential area about 1.25 hours from the airport. Near nice beaches and the Na'Pali trail. It's about 2 blocks from the on-the-water view Mediterrean Grill, which was good (reservations advised for a window table). We pack heavily, so were pleased that there was an elevator to bring up the luggage to the living areas on... More

I'm not one to give a bad review without thinking through thoroughly first. Especially since I actually thought the proprietors Kirby and Toby were nice people ( yes Toby is a bit crotchety, but he is old and that's his charm I suppose.
