We loved our stay at the Halo Ho'o Maha. Kirby and Toby really made it a joyful time. The breakfast is excellent. And if you look for a home base for trips a long the Na Pali coast - that's just the place you should consider. The B&B does provide the usual beach gear and has a jacuzzi.

Aloha and mahalo! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us. We do like to have fun and we love to provide good food, and all the right stuff for your adventures right here near our home. The Na Pali Coast is not to be missed for sure along with the jacuzzi which is a good spot after... More

This B&B is in a residential area about 1.25 hours from the airport. Near nice beaches and the Na'Pali trail. It's about 2 blocks from the on-the-water view Mediterrean Grill, which was good (reservations advised for a window table). We pack heavily, so were pleased that there was an elevator to bring up the luggage to the living areas on... More

Aloha Deb and Gary, We know you are seasoned travelers and we want to mahalo you for all the wonderful details you noticed about our place. We take your feedback sincerely. The switching rooms is not something we do on a regular basis...in fact with the companies with whom we have 3rd party booking agreements we block all one day... More

I'm not one to give a bad review without thinking through thoroughly first. Especially since I actually thought the proprietors Kirby and Toby were nice people ( yes Toby is a bit crotchety, but he is old and that's his charm I suppose. Kirby was a nice one time hippie with good intentions), and I know these reviews could affect... More

Aloha Tod, We want to thankyou for taking the time to write and realizing that we do have good intentions with our business now operating almost 40 years. We hoped you loved our location and enjoyed serving you. While we might not be so young and captivating as the island ads with young hula dancers on the beach..we like to... More

A super cute bed and breakfast in the north of the island. We had the pineapple suite. The did not have the best view in comparison to the other rooms, but we were still very satisfied. You can tell that every detail has been chosen with love, and everything was very clean The hosts Kirby and Toby are very nice... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the Papaya Suite, which is a corner room in the back. The room was pretty spacious and had great mountain views, right from the bed. Taking a nap on the bed with the windows open and looking at the mountains was extremely pleasant. Reading some of the other reviews, I think the Papaya Suite... More

We so appreciate your enjoyment of our Papaya Suite...we have take such great pleasure in building a large common space surrounding our suites and the Papaya is indeed ideal for those who like a little more privacy in their Bed and Breakfast experience. Our library is full of guidebooks, movies, albums and treasured novels among our artifacts of Polynesia...The cozy... More

We would highly recommend this lovely bed and breakfast, with its welcoming hosts Kirby and Toby, who made us feel very welcome and were very helpful and informative. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed, and the breakfast table was a work of art in a riot of colours and gorgeous food. We very much enjoyed our stay.

If you would like a nice B&B to stay in in Hanalei, this is the place. Located on the North side of the island a little past Hanalei, a treasure among the island. Kirby and Toby are fabulous hosts. Breakfast is delicious and Toby makes a 'mean' macadamia nut blueberry pancake along with a great eggs/omelets! The home is clean... More

This was our 3rd stay with Toby and Kirby - in itself a good review. We love the north shore of Kauai, and stayed here this time for 6 nights. This b&b is a slice of paradise with fun hosts to boot. My husband and I stayed here for one month a few years ago and I have been meaning to review since. We had a lovely 5-night stay at this B&B and we would return. The B&B is a 10-minute drive from Hanalei and other than a couple small restaurants down the street you must have a car to get anywhere. Fabulous! What a great review - hope all the TA folks will read this.
