Pretty much as expected from the reviews on Trip Advisor. Expensive but you generally got what you paid for. Dolphin experience great for the kids and just about the right price. Kids loved the pools and lagoon as did we because the kids were happy. You'll enjoy it here because the setting is great and the amenities good but remember... more

HGVC Big Island Hawaii My family of 3 (wife and 8year old) went to the Big Island and stayed at the HGVC in Waikoloa. HGVC is approximately 30 minutes drive from the airport and very easy to find. The facility is very nice with a heated pool on site. The 2 bedrooms are spacious and comes with a full kitchen.... more

This is the largest hotel grounds that I think we've stayed. They have a monorail to prove it! This is a convention center hotel, there are alot of singles at this hotel that you don't see at many hotels in Hawaii. There is no beach to speak of, only a water inlet that is part of the hotel. With dolphins... more

We just spent two weeks in Hawaii. For 6 days we were at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Waikoloa Beach. We had a two bedroom condo and it was awesome. We have stayed at other HGVC resorts and this has been the best. The units are appointed with extras like a large flat screen TV with Bose surround sound.... more

I first want to say that there are almost no reviews out there on this property, which made it difficult to decide between this or getting 2 rooms at the Hilton Waikoloa Village( which we were at last year). That being said, I must say that we were very happy with our decision to stay here overall. Here are the... more

Stayed at HGVC Waikoloa the first week of July. It was beautiful and looked just like the pictures we saw. After reading about the shuttle issues, I was worried... to no avail. They ran exactly on the half hour from the lobby area and stopped at Bay Club, Hilton Hotel, Marriott, King's Market and Queen's Market areas. They were even... more

We are HGVC Owners and swapped to get to this property. Never having been to the Hawaii Islands, we were not sure what to expect. Waikoloa area was very nice, but shocking to see all the lava everywhere from the airport to the Vacation Club building. The HGVC facility was extremely nice, just as pictured, with good towels, bath towels,... more

This high-end resort is open to the public. For $80/a day locals can use the facilities. Very unfortunate for those who pay over $300/night to have the same privileges. The resort is more like a state park with locals trashing the pool area by bringing in hordes of items (pizza boxes, coolers, watermelon, etc.), going in the water with their... more

We booked the HGVC through our timeshare and stayed there for a week. We knew that it was a new property and were quite eager to see if the property lived up to the pictures we had seen on the site. When we got to the unit, we were very pleased to see that it was exactly as promised. They... more

When we first arrived at this hotel, we were initially overwhelmed by the size of the property. In most cases, one must take either the monorail or the boat to get to your room. We were located near the family pool area on the far extreme end of the Ocean Tower. The view from our lanai was of the family... more
