Our stay at the Waikoloa was great. We had a two bedroom condo on the third floor in the Tamarind Tower. It was more than enough room for our family of 5. It was so quiet and peaceful; most of the time my kids had the pool to themselves. The swimming pool is smaller than what you would find at... more

Aloha, I know exactly which room you are talking about! :) I'm very happy that you & your family have enjoyed your visit at Aston Shores at Waikoloa. I have a large family myself & it is very relaxing to be able to watch everyone enjoy the pool with a bird's eye view. When you are ready to return to...

After having had very mixed experiences on my Hawaii trip, I was absolutely thrilled with Unit 231 in the Bo Tree Tower at the Shores. This one-bedroom unit was enormous and was beautifully decorated with a tasteful island theme and up-to-date furniture, rugs, bedspread, etc. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was huge! The shower stall alone is... more

Aloha, Thank you for the kind words regarding your stay with us. I'll be sure to let the owner know that you enjoyed their newly done upgrades. It is also true that very few Waikoloa accomodations have lanais as large as ours...I'm sure you could fit your bed on there as well if you wanted to. Should you have another...

First, let me just say that we were incredibly, pleasantly surprised by the condo we booked blindly -- the full kitchen with every appliance you could need, including a blender, not just one, but two flat-screen TVs -- a huge one in the living room, and a good-sized one in the master bedroom -- bathrooms worthy of HGTV and a... more

Aloha, Great pictures! This is unit 122 in the Banyan Tower. Have stayed in this room myself with family and does feel as big as my home :) So far everyone has appreciated the upgrades in this room, but it's even more exciting when you can show it with pictures! When you are ready to return, please do not hesitate...

Good place to stay in Kona - I had one bedroom apartment with good air conditioning (you need it on the big island) - fully equipped kitchen - washing machine and dryer - you really don't need anything else - the swimming pool is very small but the Big Island offers so much to see and to do that I... more

I booked my 6-night stay at the Shores after looking at all of the reviews on tripadvisor. I have to agree with everyone, both good and bad, about the property. First off, the grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush lawns and gorgeous views. The office is open late until 10 pm, which was terrific since we missed our earlier flight... more

We stayed in a roomy one bedroom condo with our family of four. The condo was updated and in good shape. The view from the balcony was spectacular. We looked out over the golf course all the way to Maua Kea. We could see the snow and the observatory on clear days. The unit we stayed in was 317. The... more

We stayed at the Resortquest Shores at Waikoloa from July 21-the 26th. We had a great time!! We aren't big "resort" people, and knew we wanted to spend most of our time driving around exploring the Big Island. The Shores was perfect for us!! There's not too much going on right on the property (although the pool and hot tub... more

We stayed in March 2008 at The Shores and were thrilled. Had a 1st floor condo in the back, so the kids had a yard to play in, and it was quiet. The gated area was so quiet, after a long day of swimming, etc...it was nice to come back to a quiet place to relax. Our condo was very... more

My husband and I visited the Big Island for our 25th wedding anniversary from 3-7-08 thru 3-14-08. We stayed at The Shores at Waikoloa. We loved everything about the property. We booked our whole trip thru Costco and got a very good deal. From what I understand most of the condos are individually owned and they rent them out. We... more
