Possibly the best meal I had in all Hawaii. The staff were very friendly, and the setting was very relaxing and beautiful. We sat right on the beach; the perfect place to watch the sunset. A hula dancer and lovely Hawaiian music set the scene nicely. The food was delicious, My drink was served in a glazed coconut shell which... More

I was searching for a place to stay with the quality of a 5-star hotel without the usual ostentatious surroundings that come with that. I wanted the Hawai'i experience without the tourist trap feeling of an all-inclusive resort. The Lava Lava Beach Club is less than 2 yrs. old. It's been well conceived and is very well thought out and... More

We stayed in 3 different lodgings while on the Big Island, and LLBC was last. Thank goodness it was, because no one else would be able to live up to it. We stayed in the cottage farthest from the restaurant. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we truly felt pampered. Yes, its expensive but so worth... More

If you're looking for a beautiful setting with a view straight out of National Geographic central casting, combined with service excellence and food services that are 5 star quality, then this is your place! It is rare that a traveler finds all the components of a truly memorable holiday with perfect experiences in all the areas that matter. I don't... More

The entire staff is outgoing, professional and very accommodating. The menu at the restaurant is filled with fresh fishes, local favorites and sits right on the beach—stunning views. The bungalows are new and well maintained. We are already planning another trip back. Rocco

We love the Big Island but hadn't been for a number of years (we were loyal visitors for years at Kona Village Resort before the 2011 tsunami). We are so happy to have found LLBC, which reminds us so much of KVR but with wonderful updated facilities. We stayed in hale Wa'a (farthest from the restaurant, which made our stay... More

We stayed here two nights at the end of our 2 week journey on the big island and wished we had stayed a lot longer. Nothing beats the access to this clean, beautiful beach. The rooms are so quaint and the private outdoor showers are amazing. I do believe this is the best place on the island to see a... More

Meant to write this for months. We stayed 4 nights in July 2013. We were visiting family in Kona and stayed here for the first part of the trip to get some beach time with the kids. Individual villas built ON the sand doesn't get better for a beach vacation. The villas were modern, spacious, well decorated and just plain... More

Lava Lave Beach Club gave us a perfect spot to enjoy fabulous views, food and service. Not to mention being positioned to enjoy beach walks, local shopping and restaurants. The staff and amenities were excellent. We so enjoyed the delivery of the daily cocktail and appetisers at sunset each day ... Thanks guys, it made us feel special. We'll be... More
