My husband, my daughter and her fiance just spent five days here. We had a wonderful trip. The 3 pools and 3 spas provide plenty of swimming and jacuzzi space so we never felt crowded, and with a $25 upgrade for a pool view room we had great view of the ocean as well. The room was a bit small... More

This was our first trip to Hawaii and it was to celebrate an Anniversary and my wife won a trip with her work. We stayed here April 8-13th then moved to another resort for the trip she won. We are Marriott fans so this was a no brainer to try this place. Staff was great. We had an ocean-view room... More

Awesome grounds and great hotel. The pools are amazing! The bar service around the pool is quite slow. So either pack your own or just go to the bar. Recommend a pool view on a high floor. Had a great view of the ocean. Also the Luau was a highlight. Just go.

3 pools, heated to varying levels - great for days that get cloudy. One pool even has a slide! Can walk to beach, and even to areas around A'Bay that have lots of sea turtles. Lots of families hanging out. Went with sister, brother, and their youngster (4 yo) and were able to play in the pool, walk around the... More

Room was first rate with an ocean front view from the sliding glass doors. Pool was very cool looking. Restaurant was excellent, but $70 for breakfast for two with bloody marys was a bit much. Service was usually excellent, but there were times in the restaurant where I had to grab the attention of a waiter after sitting at the... More

The location was great; close to Kona but an easy drive to other parts of the island. The Concierge offered an orientation which was extremely helpful because they discussed what to do on the island, not only the resort. The bar offers a great happy hour with a drink special and discounted appetizers. The room was clean and very large.... More

Enjoyable stay. Friendly staff. Spent a 3-day weekend at this facility with friends. Had a great time. Convenient location with a wonderful view of the ocean. Enjoyed the infinity pool. End of May is good time to be there as it is not as crowded. Free wifi for Marriott Rewards members.

Nice staff, special thanks to Clinton (front desk) and Peter (clipper lounge) for going the extra mile to make our stay special. The rooms are clean and bright, and the beds are comfy and in good condition. Would like to see them get rid of the connecting rooms like they did at the Courtyard King Kamehameha in Kona - that... Not all Hawaiian resorts are the same. Some [Fairmont Orchid, Ritz- Carlton Kapalua] are more suited for couples without kids in tow, whereas other equally-upscale places [Hilton Waikoloa on the Big Island, or the Grand Wailea, on Maui] have a lot of activities and fun places to keep teenagers entertained, because parents know that often it is not enough to... I have stayed at multiple Marriotts (including getting married at one) but this visit has left a very sour taste unfortunately and a sense of disappointment with our overall experience at this hotel. Upon arrival around midnight, we checked in and were given a garden view room which we had booked. The room had not been cleaned so we were... More
