We paid $129 for a decent sized room 'Kamaina rate'. I thought thta was good. The normal price would be $400. I wouldn't pay that much for this hotel, but the room was over-sized with a great view of the pool, the food was excellent and the bed was tremendous. I slept like a log. Good size pools and lots... more

Beautiful surroundings at this hotel from the pool to the front entrance. Rooms were very comfortable. Certainly need a car here as it is quite isolated although there are a few shops and restaurants at the nearby Queens and Kings Villages. This hotel is in a good location to set off to see the Volcanoes as we were recommended to... more

Our stay at the Marriott Waikoloa exceeded our expectations -- the beach was more beautiful than in the pictures, the hotel's saltwater pools were great fun for the kids (especially the water slide, which entertained our 6 year old daughters for hours while i relaxed on a pool chair with a good book), we snorkeled just about every morning and... more

Stayed here for our second attempt at a honeymoon. Loved this hotel. Its a great mid-level hotel, very nice, and reasonably priced. Recently remodeled with a very contemporary design. The room was very clean, our "pool view" room had an excellent view of the ocean- a little tip- they'll let you check out available rooms before you checkin. We weren't... more

Our family (including 2 teenage sons) stayed at the Marriott in adjoining rooms using points. It's not the most upscale hotel on the island but it is very comfortable and you can't beat it's location on the beautiful beach. I love the view of the ocean from the hotel lobby. We had garden rooms but you could see the ocean... more

The Mariott is great resort in Kona (Hawaii- Bis Island)- and by the way it is the only hotel in the Kona Area that has an own beach. Beautiful area, very modern and luxurious well for that price it should be. Outside great Spa Area- with view to the ocean. You need to depend on a car- because outside the... more

The beach is fantastic for seeing turtles and many colorful fish. Soft sand and palm trees. The short walkway to the beach is a lovely path with ancient fish ponds on both sides. Probably the best beach on the island but no waves for boogie boarding. Snorkeling is wonderful right at the beach no need for snorkel boats. Food selection... more

We Stayed At the Waikoloa Marriott the last two days of our Hawaiian vacation. It Is LOCATED RIGHT ON THE BAY WITH A RELAXING SANDY BEACH OR YOU COULD lounge by pool. It even has a water slide in a separate pool that my husband and I had a blast on. Their are many great restaurants WITHIN A 5 MINUTE... more

HOTEL: I thought this hotel was fabulous and I would definitely go back. I came to the Big Island for the first half of my honeymoon and we stayed at the Marriott for 3 nights, went to the other side of the island to Volcanoes Nat'l Park for 1 night, and then came back to the Marriott for 2 nights.... more

Great hotel, plush rooms. Wonderful infinity pool!!! The beds are heavenly, so comfortable. You can see a great sunset from the oceanfront rooms and the very large pool area. The grounds of the hotel are quite large and the hotel fronts the ocean with large fishponds in between. Only a couple of flaws. The valet was a little pushy when... more
