I stayed at the Waikoloa Beach Marriot for three nights, July 15, 16, 17, 2010 with my wife and two daughters and enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was a short drive up the west coast of the Big Island through the miles of black lava and was very easy to find. Everthing was excellent......the rooms, the grounds, the... more

This is the 3rd time I stayed there. The location is perfect. There is great snorkeling near the rocks on both sides of the bay with plenty of turtles. My teenager seemed bored because there was not much activity at the hotel, but my 11 year old loved it. The hotel is easy to get around and the views are... more

This hotel was everything we expected, and more. The best was probably the best bed I've ever experienced in a hotel. (And I've slept in a lot of hotels). The rooms are on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. We were there on business, but my husband came with me and we stayed for 10 days. The price... more

We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 2 children from Massachusetts to Hawaii's Big Island in one day and were more than fatigued when we arrived. When we landed in Kona, everything went extremely smoothly and very quickly. Our bags appeared on the conveyor almost as soon as we entered the baggage claim area. The rental car shuttle... more

We had a great experience at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott. We had booked a gardenview room and got a complimentary upgrade to a 2nd floor oceanview cabana. WOW!! The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Our view was of the fishponds and then ocean beyond that. The sunset from our location was beyond words. The staff was... more

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. We enjoyed the airy lobby and beautiful view of the pools and A-Bay beyond (it's not THAT far!). The pools were the nicest I've stayed at. It was fun seeing the sea turtles at the beach. I did the free, short hula lesson and made a lei - see the flyer... more

Our family - Mom, Dad, and our 20 and 15 year old sons stayed here for 3 nights before heading to the other side of the island. If you are looking for a lovely room, uncrowed, quiet pools (no music piped in) with always an available lounge chair and beach that is quiet, stay here. As you enter the lobby... more

After a considerable amount of research my wife and I booked 5 days at the Waikoloa Marriott. We reserved the room through the Marriott.com and took advantage of a good rate. I realized this might put us on a ground level room but during the pleasant check-in the front desk person gave us an upgrade to a top floor room... more

I went to Kona with another adult and 2 young children. The beach here is the best in the area and wasn't crowded in the mornings, making for great times swimming, sunning, surfing, and searching for turtles in the water. The nearby Hilton was a crowded resort and had no beach to speak of. The restaurant, albeit pricey, has wonderful... more

We were deciding between the Marriott, Hapuna Beach Prince, and Hilton in Waikoloa for our 8 night stay. We ended up going with Marriott because of the great reviews and photos of the rooms that people had put up. Boy were we in for a surprise when we got there... To give you a little background- we typically like to... more
