Both the kids and the adults loved staying at Volcano Cottages this June. We had three of the cottages and each family enjoyed their clean cosy cottage. Breakfast is delicious; fruit and eggs to cook and a different kind of bread every day. It is close to the park so you can go back at night and see "the glow."... More

Aloha! We love to have extended families come and enjoy our property! All the houses are on the same property so no need to drive to visit the others in your party. So glad that you enjoyed the fresh fruit and the eggs. June makes amazing breads and we are always pleased to hear when others enjoy them too! Our... More

This was by far and away the accommodation which most suited us during our 4 week stay on the Hawaiian islands. We really appreciated the privacy and flexibility afforded by our well-equipped cottage and much appreciated the breakfast delivery system. We liked being able to prepare our own meals in the well-equipped kitchen. It was a welcome change from feeling that... More

Mahalo nui for such kind words. We love the island and sharing it with our guest is one of our goals. The Lehua Blossom Cottage is nicely nestled in the forest so you feel like you are in your own private space, yet still close to the park for hiking and viewing the beautiful and magical glow of the crater.... We just returned from a three day stay at Volcano Country Cottages. We're retired travel often and found the cottages delightfully clean and sparkly. Sandy was very helpful with detailed information on when and what to visit at the volcano. Since we enjoy preparing our own breakfast at home it was wonderful to cook the provided eggs our way, fresh... More

Aloha! Mahalo as always for taking the time to post a review. Life here has been hectic so has taken a bit longer to reply to you. Good to hear you enjoyed your eggs with the added leftover veggies, always a good way to start your day! Perhaps we will see you again and share more "must dos" for the... More

The Artists. House was a perfect place to spend three nights while we showed a friend com NJ all the wonders of Volcano. It was clean, cozy, comfortable... Bring your own food or eat out, your choice. Complimentary breakfast goodies every day, fresh eggs, milk, juice, fruit, homemade cake... Pam and Garrett have created a magical place!

Aloha and mahalo for your kind review. Yes, the Artist's House is an excellent place for groups preferring two bedrooms. We are always happy to discuss the merits of each cottage to help you find the one that works best for your situation. Our breads are famous among our guests. A good friend of ours bakes them for us, they... More

Volcano Country Cottages. Should I keep this property a secret like a flyfisher keeping a winning fishing hole secret? This one is a keeper. Location, proprietors and facilities are all top rated. Problem is the limited number of cottages (4) and their uniqueness makes me want to keep the property a secret for friends and family. Except that would not... More

Aloha and mahalo for not keeping us a secret! We appreciate the thought though as it is nice to "know" there's room when you are ready to visit. So glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate the recycling and the photovoltaics. It has certainly been a plus for us and the island! We keep several games and CDs at each... More

After several visits to Volcanoes National Park, we have finally learned that it's much easier to stay a couple of nights near the park rather than drive down from Kailua-Kona and back in a single day. This year, having found Volcano Country Cottages, I'd have to say it was one of our favorite parts of our trip. We stayed in... More
