we stayed in the Artist Cottage, 2 couples, 2 rooms, shared bathroom and living room. Lovely up in the trees experience, charming host, great gardens to walk through. Clean, very comfortable bed, with fleece sheets for the cool night.

Aloha and so glad you took the time to review our place. Mahalo for your kind words. Many have commented the Artist's House was like staying in a treehouse. . . We are happy you enjoyed the gardens as well. The fleece sheets are nice for this cooler climate, when it is warmer, they are great alone, no blanket needed.... More

7 friends and I spent two nights here in order to explore Volcano National Park. My best friend and I were in the Artist's House as we wanted our own beds. It was very clean and spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The provided breakfast of fresh fruit and home made bread was fine with us and very tasty.... More

Mahalo for taking the time to review our little piece of paradise. We are always pleased to hear that someone has enjoyed our property. The Artist's House was built in the mid-1940's so it does have that "grandma's house" feel to and a bit of the old Hawaii feel as well. It is great for two singles because you do... More

The property has 4 unique cottages on a secluded lot. The owners are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The property is very well taken care of and clean. All of the cottages had great amenities, bedding, and warm robes for chilly nights. A short drive, or walking distance to the restaurants and general store. A great value and not... More

Aloha and mahalo for your kind words. We are glad that you appreciated the extra amenities. There are two great restaurants and a wonderful deli close by for meals or picnic starters. If you prefer, the general stores have basic fixings for a quick meal on the run, you don't want to miss the glow at the park. . .... More

A few weeks back we stayed a couple of nights in one of the cottages and it was very cozy and comfortable. It was like a home away from home and garret and sandy made the trip that much better. The proximity to the park made it great for visiting and for returning at night to enjoy the park. We... More

We recently spent two nights at the Volcano Country Cottages. The location is perfect, just outside Volcanoes Natural Park. It was so easy to spend the day in the park, leave for dinner and then return for an evening view of the volcano. The Artist's House was lovely, comfortable, and quiet - everything we were looking for after the bustle... More

Aloha and mahalo for your wonderful review! We are happy you enjoyed the breakfast, nothing beats fresh fruits, and the tour of Garret's garden. He's done a wonderful job with that green thumb of his. It is nice to take advantage of our closeness to the park, coming and going with time to rest in between adventures. The evening viewing... Both the kids and the adults loved staying at Volcano Cottages this June. We had three of the cottages and each family enjoyed their clean cosy cottage. Breakfast is delicious; fruit and eggs to cook and a different kind of bread every day. It is close to the park so you can go back at night and see "the glow."... More

Mahalo nui for such kind words. We love the island and sharing it with our guest is one of our goals.
