This is our 4th stay in Volcano and our second stay at the Kilauea Lodge. Why we ever stayed anyway else I'll never know. We stayed in the on-site cottage and just loved it. It was quiet and comfortable. The livingroom was a great place to plan our next day and relax in front of the fireplace which turned on... More

We stayed at this property for only two nights to go to Volcano Provincial Park because of the expense. It was a unique place to stay being an old lodge. The breakfast was included and very good. The location was ideal to visit the volcano. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room but it had a gas fireplace... More

We had just stayed 5 nights in Kauai at a luxury resort when we flew to Hilo to tour the Volcano and spend one night here before heading to the Four Seasons on the other side of the island. We were hoping for nice accommodations and a good breakfast. What we got was an incredibly friendly staff, a cute room... More

We normally stay at volcano house. But we decided to stay here. It was a wonderful experience. Ask for the rooms that have fireplaces. They have a cottage feel, large bathroom, heated towel racks, and very clean. The setting is absolutely serene and beautiful. In the morning you can hear the Hawaiian birds singing right outside your window. Breakfast was... More

We stayed here 2 nights. The location is a 6 minute drive from volcano national park visitor center. The room was clean and attractively decorated. A hot breakfast was included (several choices from menu including omelets, French toast, country fried potatoes, and pancakes). Food was excellent. Service both mornings was a little relaxed - getting a second cup of coffee... More

We were here with a tour group, so we didn't look at prices. We did look at our lovely room, complete with a little gas stove in the corner and warming racks for the towels. A Hawaiian style quilt on the bed and a view out into the garden made us feel happy the moment we stepped into the room.... More

We only stayed one night and did not have the opportunity to use the hot tub or grounds other than our room, but our room was adorable, clean clean clean, and comfortable. The fireplace in the dining area is stunning and historic. Great place to stay

We had 5 p.m. Reservations and arrived 15 minutes early. They made us feel welcome and took our drink order. Two had the lobster special consisting of two 8 oz. Tails with a veggie - outstanding! One had the German sausage plate and was more than he could eat. The sauerkraut was great! I had the ahi special, sauted in... More

Spent one night. Arrived in the evening & left the following morning. Summary is as following (from * to *****) 1. Location - *** fantastic if you plan visit the volcano national park. But far from amenities, and the restaurant & check in counter is 3 miles away! 2. Room - **** lodging actually comes in the form of a... More
