Spent last night at the Lodge and LOVED IT! Beautiful setting in the rainforest, and very close to Volcano Pk. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. You don't always find staff in all areas of this service so wonderful, but they truly were. The complimentary breakfast was wayyyy beyond what we expected! No bagels and fruit here, but a... More

My wife and I stayed here for four nights to celebrate our birthdays (hers is one day before mine). We loved it here. We were familiar with the restaurant, one of the best on the Big Island of Hawaii, but this was our first stay at the lodge. Breakfast is included with lodging. The room was comfortable, spacious, and included... More

Peace and quite. We stayed in the Hideaway. It's the only room in this building. On the 2nd floor no elevator. It has a full kitchen, small dining table, wifi, fireplace in the living room, heater in the room and television. We are a family of 3. It's comfortable with 2-3 people. They say the max is 5 in this... More

Stayed here with a family of four recently for a stop-over in VNP. An absolutely wonderful and beautiful property. Our room had a queen size bed so they brought in two foam mattresses with sheets/blankets/pillows for the kids. Breakfast was great with a nice assortment of dish options. The location is ideal, less than 5 minutes from VNP and near... More

We stayed at their Pi'i Mauna house for 2 nights. This house is actually about a 8 to 10 minute drive from the main lodge, and it is in a quiet little residential neighborhood. The house has a rustic mountain lodge feel. It has a huge green lawn backyard, and the location was peaceful and quiet. Except, there were roosters... More

Stayed in the Ola'a Plantation House for 3 nights on our recent trip to Hawaii. The house was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and perfect for a family of 4. Daily breakfast at the lodge was included in our stay and proved to be both hearty and delicious! Would definitely recommend staying here if you are headed to Volcano.

The place is charming, however disorganized. Rented a cottage with several bedrooms and a common room. No fridge of coffee maker in the common room (wouldn't it make more sense to make coffee in the common rm than in bedroom, and not to wake everyone up?). The shower has no stream, water evaporates into mist 3 in below shower head... More

A really wonderful place to stay near the Volcano national park. We stayed here recently for 2 nights with our 7 year old son and wanted to show him the volcano national park. The hotel was really great. The food was delicious with the breakfast included. Every detail in the rooms were thought of. We stayed in the Ohia room... More

We spent two nights in Tutu's Place, a two bedroom house about a two minute drive from the lodge in a somewhat secluded setting. Tutu's Place is a pleasantly decorated restored older home, with surprisingly modern bathroom fixtures and a nice mix of antique pieces, original art, and modern furnishings and conveniences including a flat screen TV. Our family of... More
