We stayed here for one night when visiting Volcano national park. The area is stunning - built into the rainforest. Shannon and Danny were great hosts and left ample food for breakfast including cereal, yogurt, milk, fruit and some extras. Rooms were clean.

Everything was very good. Check in is so simple. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The food and snacks in our room were great. Make sure to tour the Lava Tube, it is a highlight not to be missed!!! The location is excellent for touring Volcano National Park, just minutes away.

Breakfast of local fruits and fresh baked goods was a hit with the kids; a variety of options meant everyone was happy and fueled up for the day. As with many visitors, the lava cave tour was a highlight for us. Close proximity to Volcano NP made it easy to go back into the park for the night time lava... More

Spent two nights here during a 10 day trip to Hawaii. The area is incredible and this is placed perfectly for trips to Volcano national park. There's nothing other than the park and some hotels, so it's worth taking some food with you. There was a fridge and a mini oven provided. The hotel owners provided some bread/cakes and sodas... It is far better than we expected. The volcano area is very humid, but the first floor room is cozy, comfortable. The lava tour is definitely a plus. Another good thing is the location. The volcano village on the other side is beutiful where you can find good place to dine and we drove to the national park around 10 pm... More

We loved staying at this B&B in the rain forest close to the volcano. Loved the fresh fruit and homemade muffins. We also really enjoyed the cave tour. Because we were so close to the volcano, we were able to get in the park early and hike before the crowds showed up! It was great!

We had an excellent stay at the Aloha Crater Lodge during our stay in Volcano. It was a perfect home base for the National Park and village as well as Hilo and zip-lining in Akaka Falls. Shannon and Danny were great hosts. The lava tube on site is something special.

The house and room were very nice and the owners were very friendly. Room was clean and breakfast was very good (especially the banana Bread). Good place if you want to go to the national park, it is only a 5 minutes drive.

I stayed here with my male partner. I had the very creepy experience of being groped by the male owner when he took us into the lava tube and encouraged us to turn off our flashlights to sit with him in complete subterranean darkness and silence to "meditate" (his words). I couldn't believe that this man would actually try to... More

If you plan to see the volcano during the day and then at night, this is a good 1 night stay. It is a lodge...not a luxury hotel. Decor is like a cottage. Well maintained and run. No real check-in or check-out needed. The owners send you an email telling you what room you are in and keys are left... More
