I knew there was a chance that we would regret staying here for only one night, and we did. However, maybe we would not have appreciated everything to quite the same extent if we were staying longer. Nothing was overlooked. Nothing. As far as the cabin, the room itself was beyond 4-star. We had the most peaceful, restful time and... more

Wonderful getaway in the rainforest with rooms that almost make you forget that there are others staying at the lodge also. Location and lots of windows make this lodge a great getaway. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet, privacy and nature. This is our kind of meeting nature...with more than the comforts of home. Would like to have tried... more

We spent one night here after arriving KOA that afternoon. It's a perfect point from which to explore HVNP. We stayed in the Haleakala Suite for one night, and found it quite comfortable. All of the suites seem to be tucked privately into the rain forest. The lodge is literally a 5-minute drive from the entrance to the National Park.... more

The whole experience of staying at the Lodge sheltered by the rain forest was incredibly relaxing. The cabins were beautiful and the bed was so luxuriously comfortable we did not want to leave. The Inn Keeper was gracious with out being intrusive and the breakfast and snacks provided were delicious. We would definitely like to return there. Anne L. of... more

We wished we could have stayed longer! We had only planned to stay here one night and wished we could have stayed for a week. The room felt so secluded, surrounded by green out every window. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend friends to stay here whenever visiting Volcano. more

My husband and I typically stay at places highly rated by Travel & Leisure Magazine and I would rate this one a five-star - it's at the top of our list of places we've stayed. The accomodations are so perfect - attention to detail is putting it mildly. The kitchen and bathroom have granite countertops, the shower is slate. While... more

This B&B was just beautiful - it was set in the middle of the rainforest close to Volcano National Park, giving easy access to the park and enabling us to stay after sundown to see the incredible sights at night. We stayed for two nights in the Hale Manaluna, which had a big bedroom, jacuzzi tub and a kitchen with... more

We recently returned to the most beautiful and serene setting in the rain forests of Hawaii. The accomodations are beyond description, exceptionally private with attention to detail and the guests needs. A basket of goodies was provided and an incredible breakfast was prepared and left in the refrigerator. We were able to enjoy our breakfast at our leisure, on our... more

This place is awesome! It is beyond words. We stayed in the Hale Kiluea. This lodge has full length glass windows/doors for three of the four walls that look out on to the rainforest. There were ferns and bamboo glistening in the morning sun as we awoke outside the windows and along the decking that led to the library. We... more
