Pros: Spacious room, beautifully furnished. Quiet, remote location, yet still totally convenient to all Volcano attractions. Staying overnight in Volcano means you see all the major sites before the tour buses come up from Kona. Areas for improvement: Self-serve breakfast only fair compared to all the other B&B breakfasts we enjoyed on the Big Island; no place to put luggage... More

This little bed and breakfast was amazing. It was quaint and you feel taken care of. You feel like you are in the middle of the jungle as our room had a lot of floor-length mirrors that leaves you looking out into the jungle. The Lodge cannot serve a hot breakfast, but they leave you a very nice spread that... More

Aloha and mahalo for writing a review of our Hale Manaluna room. We appreciate you taking the time to write about your experience at Volcano Village Lodge. This unique guest room is adjacent to our main lodge, but provides a private rainforest experience as it's the only room on this end of the property. The large covered lanai provides an... More

A lovely lodge in the rain forest. We spent 5 days in the Hale Kilauea lodge (room) and enjoyed our time there. It's away from traffic and the bustling tourist areas and offers great peace and privacy. Volcanoes National Park is right around the corner, a mere 10 minutes away, offering some spectacular landscape and many hiking options. Our room... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in February and highly enjoyed our stay. Everything from check in to check out was flawless. Wonderful snacks were in the room and replenished daily. Extremely quiet and beautiful, tucked into the woods/rainforest of southern Big Island. Very close to downtown, just be warned, everything closes early there. We had a microwave & fridge... More

I stayed just one night on my trip to Volcano and totally enjoyed the peace and quiet of the rainforest in my comfortable and well appointed room. Since I was staying alone, I decided to watch a movie and had a fantastic library on site to choose from. Having fresh coffee in my room, when I wanted it, was very... More

We enjoyed the large window views into the rainforest just steps beyond our room. Very open but very private due to the placement of each guest's quarters. Wonderful in-room breakfast each morning and plenty of extras such as tea, granola bars, nuts, etc. It was nice to have another space to relax-adjacent to our room was the large open reception... Mahalo for writing a review of our Hale Manaluna room. This large suite is located adjacent to our main lodge, and Hale Manaluna guests are given private access to the main lodge after it's closed for the day. Our main lodge is home to our library collection (books, movies, and more!) as well as our local information. We appreciate hearing... More

We only stayed here one night but wish we had stayed longer. This was a great place to stay to visit Volcano National Park. It was so serene and peaceful and the rooms had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and were helpful in making restaurant reservations.

Mahalo nui loa for such a kind review! The Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is a major reason for choosing to stay in the Volcano Village area - but it's not the only attraction in the area. We encourage future visitors to the area to consider staying 2-4 nights with us so that you can really explore what the area has... More

Stayed in the largest lodge, Mauna Loa. Loved everything about this place. Restful, beautiful, a wonderful retreat after 2 days at the volcano. Staff is not on site 24 hrs, but we never wanted for anything!

My wife booked 3 nights, stayed at the Kilauea bungalow. A perfect respite from civilization. Green bamboo and fern from every window. 1 person staff, helpful and non intrusive. A personal refuge found. Close drive to Volcano National Park, and town shops.

Aloha, We appreciate your kind words. The Hale Kilauea is a popular choice for those looking for a private rainforest setting. Its' floor-to-ceiling windows provide an up close look at the last of the Hawaiian rainforest. This stand-alone cottage is nestled right into the ferns and bamboo - making for an unforgettable experience. We appreciate your recommendation that our guests... More
