This lodge/guest chalets are in a dense rainforest setting and they are certainly well crafted but I have to say we were a bit surprised to spend close to $300 for 2 adults / 1 child ( w/ taxes ) for a night. Our family (parents and children ages 24, 20 and 16) just spent two nights at Volocano Village Lodge. Easily found on GPS. We agree it is a great place to stay. Our every need was anticipated. Flashlights and binoculars (which come in handy at the lava flow view AND in Volcano National Park) were in the room with extra batteries.... more
