Amazing place to stay just down the road from Volcano Village and Volcanoes National Park. Mr. Kim is a friendly host who makes amazing healthy breakfasts and offers great advice on traveling the Big Island. The Lotus Suite has a comfy bed, an amazing lanai and an electric fireplace for rainy days and nights. Wonderful Korean-style decor, too. Plus, you... More

The lotus garden cottages were a great place for my husband and I to start our vacation on the big island. The room was really nice, the bed comfy and the scenery was beautiful. Mr. Kim's morning breakfast were some of my favourite meals on the island. The cottages are really conveniently located for trips into the volcano park, and... More

This tiny little B and B (just 3 rooms) manages to feel intimate but still nicely private. Rooms are charming, the rainforest setting is beautiful, and the residential street location is close enough to the "village" amenities to be convenient (by car), but at a remove that offers near perfect quiet. John is a helpful but respectful host. There is... More

We had a great stay at Lotus Garden Cottages. It is a quiet space and a very nice environment. John is a fantastic host, providing local information and suggestions for trekking at the volcano. Breakfast was also very nice and a great start to the day. Thanks John, Linda and Marianne.

My new wife and I were taking a tour of Hawaii for out honeymoon, and were fortunate enough to find this beautiful place. Even though we came in the midst of a huge rainstorm, the grounds were extremely beautiful, with everything taken very well care of. The layout of the BNB is very eastern, and the rain forest setting was... More

We loved this place! Close to the park and yet quite and secluded and easy to get to . The room was great and private with a great breakfast. If we were coming again this is the place we would stay! Thanks John!

Stayed for one night in July. When you arrive it's like the Booking.com commercial when you arrive to a rainforest tropical retreat. My room was Korean style, with a large fireplace, big bathroom and (woo hoo), fast wifi. John, the innkeeper, is very nice and helpful. TIP: Don't miss out on the jacuzzi when it cools down at night!

From the moment we drove up we both fell in love with this little gem. Our check in with John was very easy. Our room was absolutely gorgeous and our breakfast the next morning was a delicious blend of fruits, breakfast sandwiches and pastry. If we ever make it back to the Big Island we'll definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Lotus Garden Cottages for our Big Island portion of our honeymoon. We could not have asked for a more relaxing and romantic setting. Our cottage was so cozy and Mr. Kim and Chu Chu the cat were hospitable and delightful hosts! You will be greeted each morning by Mr. Kim's cheerful breakfast delivery. It... More
