We got the Volcano room, 2nd floor corner suite. Lovely lovely views, full kitchen, 3/4 bath (no tub just shower). Vaulted cielings, all wood. Beautiful room. So what's wrong? After reading the reviews here and seeing the pictures, I knew I would love this place, and I did. We were staying in Kona at a timeshare, but it is a 3 hour drive to the Volcano, so we needed somewhere to stay for one night. We opened the door, and just stopped and said "Wow". Our room was enormous, and stunningly beautiful. It gets chilly at that elevation at night, but the electric blanket kept us nice and warm. Well-stocked full kitchen. The only downside was the sometimes sporadic availability of hot water and water pressure, presumably the result of the solar water heating system.... more

5 minutes and i was at the entrance to volcano park and i went and night too. volcano inn has a very good price of 60.00 bucks i stayed 4 nights. parking was 15 ft to my door.one tip though if coming back late at night to the inn you will need a flashlight after aprox 10 pm more
