The Volcano Inn is beautiful place to stay and the proximity to Volcanoes Park can't be beat. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated and the views make you feel as if you are staying in a rain forest. If you are travelling alone, be aware that the management does not reside on site and the location is a little... more

I was well surprised by the place...close from the Volcano National park. Rooms are pretty nice and the inn is surrounded by lots of green and located in a quiet place and close from the highway. I spent two great nights there. I really recommend this place if you are planning to visit the volcanoes. Innkeepers are discret but helpful... more

A friend and I wanted to spend several days hiking in the Volcano National Park. Based on the reviews here, this place sounded like it had everything - clean, affordable and close to the Park. And they were completely right - we *loved* our time here! The room was spacious and quiet plus the kitchenette worked out perfectly. (Our kitchen... more

This place was truly much more than I expected. The view out the windows was breathtaking. The quietness of the area. The closeness to the park. The amazing wood accents in the room. The Bed was great. Pillows needed to be replaced. Kitchen area was perfect. The dehumidfier worked great and kept us very comfortable. The bathroom was roomy and... more

We stayed in the Gecko Room for 2 days while visiting the Volcano National Park. Only a mile a way from the entrance, so access is great. The room is actually the bottom floor of a 2 story building, located in a tropical rain forest. Huge tree ferns and flowers everywhere. Extremely quiet. The Gecko features a kitchenette, dining area,... more

This is a terrific hidden gem in the town of Volcano. The rooms are new with cork floors (cozy in this damp, chilly town), very clean, spacious with terrific views of the rainforest type garden the owners obviously take great pride in. The owners are also environmentally friendly which is nice to see. I can't say anything negative about this... more

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the corner window rooms and were overall very pleased. I was a little nervous about finding the place as the email instructions are quite strict about the time you need to arrive to make sure you don't get lost in the dark - but it was absolutely fine with the instructions they... more

We had one of the Volcano Inn units on 2nd Avenue, and enjoyed our one night stay very much. Our unit had a kitchenette, and the trademark corner window with ferns and trees growing just outside the glass. It lacked for nothing. We did not reserve, just called that morning, since we don't like to schedule ourselves too much. I... more

We got the Volcano room, 2nd floor corner suite. Lovely lovely views, full kitchen, 3/4 bath (no tub just shower). Vaulted cielings, all wood. Beautiful room. So what's wrong? We decided to eat-in and cooked pizza. I pull out the cookie sheets, and there were still crumbs on them. Then my husband spotted a roach crawling along the counter top.... more
