We were staying at the Kona Coast Resort,on the other side of the island. We wanted to spend more than just a day in the National Park and we had reservations for the next day for a helicopter tour and also wanted to see the Caldera at night, and we didn't want to drive the 98 miles back in the dark.... The Volcano Inn reminds me of a very cool eco friendly B&B. The rooms were small, but very nice. Inn is located among lots of vegetation and forest. Very cool. Breakfast was included and was very basic fruit and breads, but all homemade and very good. Staff even packed us a picnic for our hike later that day. Shoes off... More

the volcano inn was a great place to stay - reasonable prices, gorgeous view from the room, breakfast was wonderful..tasy papaya chock full of pineapple, yogurt, granola, and honey. the staff was very helpful and hardworking. the room we had was right off the dining room and the early start might be a problem for some people but since I... My corner room at the Volcano Inn was lovely. Unfortunately I was there when a hurricane hit. While the management could not help that power went out as a result there was no communication from them throughout the whole period. The power going out meant that the toilet also did not work. I would have expected some communication regarding options... More

We are family of three and stayed at Volcano Inn in July. We had a large standard room. The room is exactly like the picture on their website, very spacious and spotless. Our room was on the top floor of the building. We sat by the round table and ate our dinner, the view was beautiful. Volcano inn is set... More

We have stayed in Volcano Inn 4 nights in July with my family and the place is really nice and totally recommended. Surroundings of Volcano Inn are very beautiful, it´s in the middle of a tropical forest. Our room for the 4 of us was great with a lot space and very comfortable. Beds were very good too. Wifi worked... More

I stayed there for 2 days in July 2014. I used it as a base for visiting the volcano which is a few miles away. The town of Volcano is small but has a few places to eat. The hotel is very nice. I had a large room on the second floor with a lot of windows overlooking many types... More

Location is the best thing about Volcano Inn. The Reason I am giving it two stars is that The bed and pillows were lumpy. Also, the sheet did NOT smell clean. Even my young child noticed it. She didn't want to go under the blanket. This is a simple, no frills accommodation, but cleanliness and comfortable beds are a must!
