Much of what you do and see at Volcano park is in a dry, windy, hot area. The Volcano Teapot is quite close to the park, but in an area that's cool and moist. It is the perfect place to come back to after a day on the hot side of the island. It is a lovely cottage, amazingly restored/enhanced... More

My husband and I stayed for two nights on our visit to Volcano NP. Bill made the process so easy from booking to sending materials about the area, directions and a packet of tea to meeting with us to acclimate us and make suggestions about activities. Their attention to all details to ensure that their guests have a terrific stay... More

My mom, bf, and I stayed at this remarkable retreat in Volcano for two nights. Bill and Toni's hard work and love are shown through every detail that has gone into making this cottage feel like home for their guests. Nothing was more relaxing than a morning stroll to the sounds of birds chirping down the flower-lined path. My Mom... More

We spent two amazing nights at the Teapot while visiting Volcanoes National Park. The location is super convenient to the park entrance which makes those late night and early morning visits to the caldera very easy. Upon arrival we were greeted by Bill to discuss the cottage and details about hotspots and hikes inside the park. Attention to detail is... More

To start, the reviews are true. This place is simply the quaintest place I have ever stayed in my entire life. And I have traveled a lot. We stayed here in early February 2015. The Good: The cottage is stocked with fresh pastries every day, tea, milk, yogurt, fruit, etc, etc. More food than you could possibly eat. It sits... More

We have rented homes all over the world, and this cottage was just about the nicest place we have ever rented. This delightful cottage was super clean, very comfortable, and very private. The bed was heavenly, and the shower had wonderful water pressure. The location is perfect for exploring the park and nearby surroundings to include Hilo. There was more... More

My wife and I have stayed in the Danielli in Venice, the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and the George V in Paris, but Bill's place was a nicer place to stay. Let's start with the real, honest to god, rain forest out back - big enough to get lost in. Wonderfully groomed. Little teapots and sculptures scattered about. The hot... More

Spent 3 nights of our 2 week vacation in Hawaii (at the end of December 2014) at Teapot and it was by far our favorite lodging. About 2 or 3 weeks before our arrival, we received a package from them with lots of great information and suggestions of things to do in the area, which definitely added to our excitement... More

Bill and Antoinette have thought of everything! This cottage, which was built in 1912, is exclusively yours. It is stocked with all of the little things that are usually missing at other accommodations. The condition of the grounds and the cottage are impeccable. Bill is a master cabinetmaker and it shows. Here you are completely secluded in your own piece... More

My wife and I stayed there for 5 nights after staying up north at Wianuhea. We chose this place deliberately because we wanted someplace quiet and more private as a way to end our stay, as well as a place that would be close to the park/make it easy to explore the southern part of the island. We couldn't have... More
