This place is run by an inhospitable Tea Party fundamentalist. Very weird vibe at this B&B. Inhospitable environment upon arrival. Very Cheap tea and coffee available. Bookcase reading includes Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and Norman Vincent Peale Guidepost leaflets. No friendly greeting. No aloha spirit at breakfast, which I skipped. Like another reviewer of Aloha Junction B&B, I chose to... More

We stayed here for three nights and appreciated a comfortable bed. Robert showed us jackets, flashlights, etc we were free to use and for the uninitiated the temperature is surprisingly cold at night. The breakfast was enough to keep us going for hours. Received great tips from Robert and others staying in the house. Spacious room, only one let down... More

We are on our honeymoon, it was a very easy to find, very quiet, end of the road B&B. We awoke to birdsong everyday, we had the cheapest room, which meant we had only one bed, and no private deck, and it was still wonderful. We had a king size bed, private bathroom, and a lot of room. He even... More

Location gets 5 stars , no more than 2 miles from the National Volcano's Park entrance. Robert the owner is very laid back and easy to talk to and has had the B&B open since 2004 or so if I recall correctly. He owned the house previously and it is a large home with rooms to rent out. He and... More

One of the best experiences on Big Island! Such a lovely accomodation and great breakfast! Easy to connect with other travellers, hearing their stories at the big table. The owner is very helpful and a great breakfast chef! Cosy heating and very good beds make it a fantastic stay at a reasonable price. The viewing point at the volcano is... More

This is the perfect spot for visiting Hawaii Volcano Nat'l Park. It's a very comfy stay, lots of room and very good breakfast which were most enjoyable each morning. The proprietor, Robert offered all the local info we needed. He was also prepared with extra gear and accessories if needed.

We stayed for 3 nights and did 'self check in and check out' (= open house, keys just on the door). Fortunately we found the wifi access in the office ourselves! The lady and her kids preparing breakfast in the morning wer not really of any help. Breakfast though was plentiful; have never seen so many different sauces and addings... More

My wife and friend stayed here for only one night in December 2013 in the Pele suite. The room itself was old and damp the annex tacked on the end of it was incredibly damp, smelly and cold. The bed linen was at least 20 years old and whilst it was clean had the smell of years of use ,... More

we are here on the advice of trip advisor. why this place only gets 4 stars is confusing. this is our second night, and the food is amazing. the breakfast is wonderful. The Pele room has enough room for a small family and Robert is able to answer all of our questions. If you have any questions, please ask.

Spent one night in the Pele suite. Spacious room, comfortable setting and fabulous breakfast. 5 minutes from Volcano National Park. Very easy to find and would go back again. Great recommendations for the town and area.
