Alll up we had the most wonderful time and Robert is a great unobtrusive host however.... The experience is totally dependant on the mix of other guests at this B & B and how loud they are - all the bedroom walls are very very thin. Ear pugs are free in every room. We were lucky we stayed 4 nights... more

I really enjoyed my 4-day stay at Aloha Junction. I was the only person there the first night, yet Rob still prepared a wonderful, hot, breakfast for just me. I stayed in the Pele Room, which, unfortunately, had termites. I noticed the tell-tale sign of sawdust around day 2. Rob said they are having issues with termites in that room.... more

Aloha Junction was wonderful. We called to tell Rob that we were coming from the airport and could he accomodate us- he literally waited outside for us in our pajamas at 10pm to let us in and show us around. The house is an old summer house, the rooms are huge and each has its own kitchenette and bathroom- as... more

We spent one night at Aloha Junction. It was the perfect place to stay while we visited the volcano. We were staying in Kohala and wanted a place to stay overnight. Our room was ready when we arrived and Robert was nice enough to greet us with an umbrella. We toured the volcano all day and then checked in around... more

We stayed in Pele’s Suite for 3 days in May 2009, a very spacious room that is next door to the computer room that was available for our use. Aloha Junction B&B is very convenient to the Volcanoes National Park and Robert takes special pride in preparing an ample and varied breakfast menu. The closeness to the National Park and... more

We stayed one night at the Mokuna House through Aloha Junction Bed and Breakfast. We were extremely dissappointed when we arrived to find that the house was very dirty. The table had crumbs on it, the bathroom looked liked they had not been clean and the carpets had black pebbles all on them. The cofee pot had not even been... more

We've been to the Big Island before, but never had enough time to explore Volcanoes National Park, so this was our objective this time around. We are a couple traveling with our teenaged daughters, and wanted two beds in a large room. We booked the Pele suite, which had a king and a queen-sized bed, for a week in early... more

I don't usually stay at B&Bs but for the Big Island they really seem to be the best option. Aloha Junction was certainly comfortable, spacious, well decorated and maintained, and convenient to Volcanoes National Park (a five minute drive) and local restaurants and the general store (a one minute drive). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. There were a few other... more

We stayed in the Pele Suite for 3 /12 days and had a great time. It was our first trip to the Big Island and we had planned to spend of it @ the Volcanoes Park and this place was in the perfect spot. We drove around the Island twice and did lots of other sight seeing. The access is... more
