We recently stayed in Skye's Treehouse No.2 which was wonderful! Skye gave is excellent directions and is very friendly and a little quirky to talk to. The treehouse itself is also a little quirky. We (as a couple) stayed for 2 nights but I would have stayed longer if I could. The clever design of the treehouse has a full... More

I was expecting a "rustic" experience when I signed up for staying in a treehouse. This is anything but. The photos don't do it justice-- it's really like staying in a super modern, mostly glass 2 floor duplex, that happens to be built about 20 feet above ground. You feel both like you are in the trees and that you... More

Our son and daughter in law had previously stayed in Skye's tree houses and encouraged us to do so. We were so thrilled with our stay! Skye is a creative genius, and being in the treehouse is experiencing art. The stairway banisters, the upstairs bed frame, the door"knobs", the kitchen pan hanging rack, and the lanai walkways are all created... More

Driving up to the treehouse, you are unsure of what to expect but we found ourselves pleasantly surprised. The setting and treehouse are beautiful. There almost seem to be more windows than walls, making you feel immersed in the rainforest. We stayed here for three nights and didn't want to leave. The treehouse had all the amenities we needed. There... More

This is a wonderfully unique place to stay. Think of it as a cabin in the sky, built by a guy named Skye. It's not a five-star resort; it's more like a five-star camping experience, with a full kitchen, multiple sleeping areas, bath/shower, and plenty of beautiful views of the foliage surrounding the area. Skye was a perfect host in... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights of our honeymoon here. We loved the treehouse - we enjoyed looking at the details of the house. it is very clear that Skye put a great deal if time and effort into every detail. It was a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere and truly very special.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon while visiting Volcano. We absolutely loved it! This place is super cool! A very unique experience for anyone! It has all the amenities you could possibly need including flashlights, umbrellas, bug spray, etc. A very convenient location while visiting Volcano. Keep in mind, it's a treehouse in the middle... We're a family of four and we stayed in Skye's Treehouse in April and had a blast. The pros: it's a two story treehouse with hot and cold running water. It's handmade by Skye and has a cozy, rustic feel, while still being completely contemporary. It's a 10-minute drive from Volcano National Park. Skye is a fantastic host and takes... More

The tree house is surprisingly comfy with its fire place and very well equipped. It's a tad expensive for 2, but real good value for a family (it sleeps 6 people). Very secluded so best is to arrive before sunset as it's a bit hard to find. It's 5 minute-drive from Volcano National Park entrance. We really recommend it!

Skye was great to work with and very accommodating. His help actually started before we got there as he let us know in our email correspondence where to stop for food in Hilo. He promptly met us at the Treehouse when we arrived and spent time talking to us about his background as well as how the house came to... More
