We stayed at Ohia Paniolo Cottage for two nights in April 2015 to explore the nearby Volcano National Park - and it turned out to be an ideal base to do just that. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated, making for an enjoyable stay. Communications from the owner were good and although we didn't really use the... More

Just a few streets of the main highway is this amazing place nestled in the middle of a JUNGLE NEIGHBORHOOD"! Really! I'm not kidding, every home lot is literally carved out of thick jungle! Very quiet, with only the occasional car noise... Wonderful cozy home with fresh flowers and goodies waiting on the counter when you arrive! The spa /... More

Mahalo for your review and we're glad that you have a wonderful stay. I'm sorry that I did not return your call that evening. I spent the day in Kona and did not return until late that evening. I did check on the DVD player the next morning after your check out. The player has been replaced since then. More

I opened the door and walked around and I think I said WOW about 30 times in 10 minutes! Such attention to detail from the Christmas wreath and décor greeting us outside the door, to the fresh flowers in every room, coffee cake on a cake plate in the kitchen next to the basket filled with fresh local fruit and... Unfortunately our two night stay in Volcano was non-stop rain & fog, but we had a great time at the Ohia Plantation House. The grounds are stunning, we all took lots of photos of the flowers & plants. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub. Not a thing was missing in the kitchen. We loved the fruit basket, the pancake mix, all... We spent 5 luxurious days here and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay . The owners have gone way over the top to make our stay memorable. The house is warm and inviting and the beds are very comfortable especially after a full day hiking and taking in the scenery. A lovely spa to soak in at night. Internet worked... More

We stayed here for two nights and were pleasantly surprised at how clean and cozy this place was. Every aspect of amenities was thought of by the owners which made the experience even grander. To top it off, this property has a jacuzzi to soak in after a weary day at the park. I would stay here again or explore... More

We pick the Ohia Plantation House due to its proximity to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the photos we found online. The location is nice, in a quiet residential area. The house is spacious and nicely furnished. The breakfast items that were left for us were exactly what we were looking for, and since the house sleeps 6, with 2... More

We spent four nights at the Ohia Paniolo Cottage located in quiet residential neighborhood just a couple miles from Volcanoes National Park. It was a very comfortable place to spend the evenings. The two-bedroom, one-bath home is very inviting and decorated well. We arrived to find breakfast fixings including a generous platter of fruit, Punalu’u Bake Shop sweet rolls, and... More

Our family gathered for a long weekend to explore the Volcano area and the Mauna Kea summit. This location is ideal for both. Our home was completely furnished. It is clear the owners have been thoughtful in providing essentials some vacation rentals overlook such as condiments, paper-goods, useful utensils. There were plenty of linens and toiletries. We appreciated these touches... More
