An old estate in the heart of Volcano village, My Island Inn has gorgeous gardens, delightful hosts, and offers an economical stay in this very touristy area. Having a microwave and refrigerator in the room allows for independence from restaurants. We have stayed here many times over the years and are never disappointed. Highly recommended.

We spent 2 nights here, which was not enough. The proximity to Volcanos National Park was perfect! The hosts really wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms(we had 2) were nice and the showers were surprisingly good! This location is not for the traveler that wants luxury, but more so for the adventure/experience traveler.

I stayed here for just one night in the yellow room. I wish I had stayed longer but hadn't planned my trip that way. The room was comfortable and the gardens are beautiful. It's really well located close to the volcano, you have to see the glow at night - awesome!!

We arrived late at the inn but we had already the code to get into our room (which was sent to us previously by email) and there was a binder with all the necessary information about local dining options (with respective menus), wifi password, etc. The rooms have fridge stocked with water, coffee maker and heater (which is essential in... We stayed in the Blue Room. It was perfect. There was a notebook on the bed when we got there with printed menu of what was being served in all of the close places to eat. This was a HUGE help. Also there were flashlights, umbrellas, walking sticks, hair dryer, fridge, microwave....what more could anyone want. The grounds and garden... More

We stayed here for 3 nights via booking to see the Volcano. We were very warmly received by the host who showed us our room. During our stay she also gave us various suggestions on where to go, what to see and eat without being intrusive. The place is small (only 3 rooms) of which 2 have a view on... More

My Island B&B is a little paradise just ahead of the Volcanoes NP in the South of Big Island. The B&B is family driven. There's Kii the manager, Gordon the story telling guy and Brian the "Goto-Guy" if you have some questions. As I read today on the homepage the incredible breakfast is not available anymore. It was definitely a... More

The location is great- just a couple miles from the visitor center. The room itself is small, but worked for our group of 3. Much of the time we were in the park. The owner is friendly and makes sure your needs are met without being pushy. Make sure to get supplies in Hilo or Kona if you are going... More

We stayed in the yellow room - the historic house is no longer available for guests. My Island B & B is no longer a bed and breakfast. A microwave and refrigerator is in the room. No AC or TV in the room but there is a heater if needed. Room is very basic and old. Close to the Nat'l... More

We stayed in the historical house of this B&B. The house was built before 1900. But don't let the antiquity to scare you. The place was well maintained. Beds, sheets, pillows, towels were clean and fluffy. The owner Kii and her husband Byron clearly put their hearts into running this place over the past 26 years. Kii's parents ran the... More
