My husband and I recently visited My Island B & B again for 3 night stay. We had stayed there last year and yet again we had a great time. The hotel location is in close proximity to the Volcano NP. The hosts are lovely people and are very welcoming to their guests. They are very knowledgable and informative about... More

Stayed in the Red Room which has a small kitchenette. Third time here and second in the Red Room. Pricing is great with a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit and home made breads and cakes. Everyone at the breakfast table sharing stories of the past day and what their plans are for the new day. Past visitors like us always... More

To begin with, I have to apologize for taking so long to write this review. It has been almost a year since I had the pleasure of staying in this family-run B&B. I stayed in the family (attic) room with my 9-year old son for three days after Labor Day last year while visiting Volcano National Park. The room is... More

We spent four nights here, as a base for exploring the volcano area. I can truthfully say that we have never stayed at such a beautiful and memorable location, nor have we ever been hosted by people who were so keen to ensure that we got the maximum from our visit. Gordon, Kii and Byron (plus Lisa on some days,... More

To repeat many of the sentiments of other reviewers - good size room, wifi, beautiful gardens, just a few minutes from VNP. Ki'i fixed a very nice breakfast (all you want fruit, breads, yogurt, HB eggs, not just "continental"). My only complaint would be the heater (the eco heater is a type of wall mounted space heater with no thermostat).... More

We stayed at My Island Bed and Breakfast for one week and had a wonderful experience. We stayed in the room that they call the Studio or Red room, which has a bathtub/shower, wood floors, and a kitchenette. It was perfect for us because I have a 1 1/2 year old. The "Studio" is separate from the main house which... More

Close to the National Park, our recent stay at My Island B&B, gave us the wonderful combination a good breakfast; cordial conversation with international guests; spacious rainforest grounds with many tropical blooms; and a comfortable nights rest. Elder, Gordon knows all there is to know about the Big Island and the rest of the islands as well. His experience and... More

I stayed at My Island B&B for a week in the main house. Breakfast was wonderful. Lots of fruit, breads, cereal, hard boiled eggs, etc. I never left feeling hungry. I was very comfortable, feeling at ease and relaxed. It was interesting hearing what other guests had to say over breakfast and listening to Gordon's stories. If you have any... More

This was a fine B&B, with friendly family people. It's a little funky... it's supposed to be - it's an old house. Gordon Moore, the old gentleman who tends it is worth the price of admission. We paid about $100/night and it was great to hear all his stories.

Four of us shared the Deck House for three nights. It is a complete house, well equipped with everything you would need, including coffee, in a lovely garden setting. Gordon gave us a detailed itinerary for both days we were there. We followed it exactly and it was terrific. Kii, his daughter, was wonderfully helpful as well. It is very... More
