This charming B&B is in the small community of Volcano on the Big Island very close to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. What a great location to use as a base for exploring the park. The historic 1800’s main house is surrounded by acres of well taken care of rainforest trees, plants, and flowers. What a beautiful place to take a... More

It is so much more than a B&B. In fact, it was one of the best B&Bs I have visited in my 74 years. The rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable and ideal for a family that included old folks down to a 4 year old. Besides the clean and comfortable lodging, the breakfast was simply amazing replete with fresh... More

We spent a single night in March, the proprietors were perfectly accommodating and the room (with a queen and single bed for the three of us) was lovely and spotless. Breakfast was so much fun, with remarkable homemade jams and breads. The proprietors know the Islands so well; they can answer any questions a traveler might have on history, attractions... More

The family is so sweet and breakfast is the BEST! Homemade jams and fresh fruit from the property. They will help you with anything you need.....places to eat, visit..all on the island. A great place to stay when visiting the vnp...It was like visiting your grandparents for the weekend!

We stayed at this B&B after having it recommended on TA forum. We are a family of 4 and it was difficult to find a B&B that would accommodate us all. We had the family attic and ended up having the whole charming 1800's home to ourselves. Two of the outside cabins were occupied but they are self sufficient. My... More

Enjoyed our time in volcano, should have been longer. Great to see the most friendly of owners doing what they love. A unique experience, great value. Recommended if only for the location, atmosphere and advice.

We recently stayed here while visiting vnp Staff were very informative and we had access to get our boarding passes printed. We also got great maps and referrals from staff. Word to older travelers if you purchase a National Parks Pass for $10 then you can get into all national parks for free including VNP

My husband and I recently visited Volcano National Park and stayed at My Island. I lived in Hawaii on the Big Island over 10 years ago and had stayed at the same B&B when my parents and I took a trip to the park at that time. I had very fond memories of their breakfast and of the extremely knowledgeable,... More

The property is conveniently located close to Volcanoes National Park. Our room, the yellow room, was a bit small and somewhat outdated. The proprietor and her father were very nice and offered a lot of advice on what to do in the park. Breakfast was nice and it was fun to try all of the homemade breads and local fruits.... More

My wife and I spent a couple of nights here in early December and couldn't have been happier! Volcano is a small town near Volcano National Park. It is a very lush setting at 4,000 feet in elevation. I mention all this just because I think it highlights My Island Bed and Breakfast's best quality: it is perfect for its... More
