Enjoyed our time in volcano, should have been longer. Great to see the most friendly of owners doing what they love. A unique experience, great value. Recommended if only for the location, atmosphere and advice.

We recently stayed here while visiting vnp Staff were very informative and we had access to get our boarding passes printed. We also got great maps and referrals from staff. Word to older travelers if you purchase a National Parks Pass for $10 then you can get into all national parks for free including VNP

My husband and I recently visited Volcano National Park and stayed at My Island. I lived in Hawaii on the Big Island over 10 years ago and had stayed at the same B&B when my parents and I took a trip to the park at that time. I had very fond memories of their breakfast and of the extremely knowledgeable,... More

The property is conveniently located close to Volcanoes National Park. Our room, the yellow room, was a bit small and somewhat outdated. The proprietor and her father were very nice and offered a lot of advice on what to do in the park. Breakfast was nice and it was fun to try all of the homemade breads and local fruits.... More

My wife and I spent a couple of nights here in early December and couldn't have been happier! Volcano is a small town near Volcano National Park. It is a very lush setting at 4,000 feet in elevation. I mention all this just because I think it highlights My Island Bed and Breakfast's best quality: it is perfect for its... More

I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect when we booked this place. However, it had great reviews and was right where we wanted to stay for a night (by Volcanoes National Park). I am glad we choose this place and the pictures online do not do it justice. First when we checked in we were greeted by... More

We ended up in this place by just driving late night and trying to find a place to spend the night. Well, I can tell you, we were lucky to find this gem! Everything is well organized and spotless! We called from the phone they have in the balcony and the very friendly lady (sorry forgot her name) took care... More

My husband and I recently visited My Island B & B again for 3 night stay. We had stayed there last year and yet again we had a great time. The hotel location is in close proximity to the Volcano NP. The hosts are lovely people and are very welcoming to their guests. They are very knowledgable and informative about... More

Stayed in the Red Room which has a small kitchenette. Third time here and second in the Red Room. Pricing is great with a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit and home made breads and cakes. Everyone at the breakfast table sharing stories of the past day and what their plans are for the new day. Past visitors like us always... More

To begin with, I have to apologize for taking so long to write this review. It has been almost a year since I had the pleasure of staying in this family-run B&B. I stayed in the family (attic) room with my 9-year old son for three days after Labor Day last year while visiting Volcano National Park. The room is... More
