We stayed in two of the cottages: - one was a two bedroom three bedroom, one bath house with kitchen and living room. The rooms will accommodate up to five people. The only downside was the sharing of one bathroom among five people. The bathroom was downstairs, making it more difficult for elderly folks to visit late at night. The... More

The cabin was romantic one bedroom cottage, and the place is on well-kept grounds. It was exceptionally quiet, and the morning light was beautiful reflecting of the lush green lawn and trees. The breakfast bread was quite good, fresh fruit and coffee was set out in the room the night before. The room had a small refrigerator. The Internet was... More

We stayed at one of the cottages for one night. It was nice, cosy and relaxing. Breakfast was amazing too - papaya, banana's, gauva juice and a delicious homemade coconut and orange cake! Our host was very friendly and pleasant. I would recommend booking a stay here - I certainly will when I visit again! Neeta from Leeds, West Yorkshire... More

During my planning of a Hawaiian vacation to the Island of Hawaii, I decided to book one night near Volcano National Park. I found this B&B near the park and from the looks decided to book a one night stay. Quite, relaxing, no TV or radio distractions. Our host was the nicest man you can meet, and he made our... More

Hale Ohia Cottages is an adorable place to stay just 2 miles from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. It is charming, comfortable and clean, in a beautiful setting. The grounds are beautiful, it feels like you are living in a fairytale! In the evening, the owners put in our room (there is a small fridge) delicious homemade banana/date (?)... More

I lived on the Big Island for a year and found this place to stay by mistake. I have stayed in every cabin and have brought my mom and my grandparents to this place. They loved the country feel, the comfort of the lodge the simple breakfast and the hospitality of the host, Michael. I spent a week here and... More

We spent the first three days of our ten-day Hawaiian vacation at Hale Ohia cottages. They were recommended by my cousin who has stayed several times. What a charming and comfortable place in a beautiful setting. The owner, Michael, was super friendly and helpful. our room had been converted from the old garage/studio/workshop and was quaint and rustic - perfect... More

I was looking for a place close to the Volcano National Park just to spend one night and I feel like I hit the jackpot. These are very cute historic cotteges with a lot of charm. They are very clean and relaxing with a gas burning fireplace that will keep you warm. I arrived around 6 pm. and my room... More

We stayed for 3 nights and loved this charming place. The grounds were immaculate and our cottage had a magical view out back onto a lush green vista. Our host, Michael, was kind and helpful. Breakfast was fresh fruit, date bread, orange bread, and delicious juice. The location was 2 minutes from Volcano National Park. We could not have asked... More

We loved everything about these cottages - from the well manicured landscape to the private and charming lodging to Michael, the owner! This was the best stay of our vacation, and we've had some tough contenders - including the Fairmont Orchid and Hapuna Prince on the Gold Coast. We would love to come back, maybe bring some friends and take... More
