Although it is advertized as a suite, this is not a suite!! It's a small, claustrophobic room with two oversized armchairs that take up all the space. There is no closet in the room, so we had to keep all our clothes in the suitcases, using up all the remaining space on the floor. There were a few hangers on... More

Stayed a for a week a few months ago; beautiful, secluded location near to the park and the manager Michael is very friendly and accommodating. I was staying with my cousin who is gluten-free, and each afternoon a specially prepared breakfast hamper with gluten-free cakes left in the basket, as well as plenty of fresh fruit. Would definitely stay again.

If you're looking to unwind and relax this is the place to go! With no television and not the greatest cell signal your time spent in the cottage will be very relaxing. My wife and I stayed here for two nights and found ourselves enjoying playing Scrabble together one evening. After a partial day trip to the Volcano National Park... More

The cottages at this location are the most adorable thing we have ever seen. We only stayed one night but the hospitality from Ashley and the morning hostess were outstanding, the staff is very friendly, kind and love to get to know their guests. The breakfast left in our rooms was outstanding and being able to relax before hitting the... More

Lovely set of cottages of varying sizes nestled into a lovely section of rainforest just outside Volcano National Park and across the street from Volcano "village". The gentleman running the establishment was kind and very helpful with good advice. The homemade bread and fruit for breakfast- brought to the cottage every day was tasty and perfect to take the extras... More

We stayed in two of the cottages: - one was a two bedroom three bedroom, one bath house with kitchen and living room. The rooms will accommodate up to five people. The only downside was the sharing of one bathroom among five people. The bathroom was downstairs, making it more difficult for elderly folks to visit late at night. The... More

The cabin was romantic one bedroom cottage, and the place is on well-kept grounds. It was exceptionally quiet, and the morning light was beautiful reflecting of the lush green lawn and trees. The breakfast bread was quite good, fresh fruit and coffee was set out in the room the night before. The room had a small refrigerator. The Internet was... More

We stayed at one of the cottages for one night. It was nice, cosy and relaxing. Breakfast was amazing too - papaya, banana's, gauva juice and a delicious homemade coconut and orange cake! Our host was very friendly and pleasant. I would recommend booking a stay here - I certainly will when I visit again! Neeta from Leeds, West Yorkshire... More

During my planning of a Hawaiian vacation to the Island of Hawaii, I decided to book one night near Volcano National Park. I found this B&B near the park and from the looks decided to book a one night stay. Quite, relaxing, no TV or radio distractions. Our host was the nicest man you can meet, and he made our... More

Hale Ohia Cottages is an adorable place to stay just 2 miles from the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. It is charming, comfortable and clean, in a beautiful setting. The grounds are beautiful, it feels like you are living in a fairytale! In the evening, the owners put in our room (there is a small fridge) delicious homemade banana/date (?)... More
