Six of us arrived on bicycles for a two night stay at the Coconut Cottage. Our host, Doug, went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. He offered to buy food and wine for our dinner as he was going shopping in Hilo and even made the ceasar salad dressing and flavored the steak. His breakfasts were scrumptious... More

We loved our stay at the Coconut Cottage Bed & Breakfast!! We stayed for two nights in the separate cottage which was very nice for three of us. Doug & Jaime are very friendly and helpful. They recommended Kaleo's in Pahoa for dinner which we tried and highly recommend also. Doug's breakfasts are the best you can find at any... More

Jamie and Doug make you feel like you are a part of their ohana when you stay at Coconut Cottage. Their adorable baby, Kai, is a pleasure to have around in the morning while enjoying a cup of Kona coffee. We have stayed in the Bali suite which has a relaxing lanai off the patio doors. The suite is spacious,... More

Stayed 2 nights, spouse and I were very well treated. Fabulous breakfast and host Doug was knowledgeable and helpful. Location is very convenient for volcano and Puna area activities. Some people might be disturbed by the frog peeping at night but we were not. There had been a computer glitch when we made our reservation that led to a double... More

We enjoyed two nights in the Bali room which was very comfortable and spacious. It included a small fridge, coffee maker, beach towels and free snacks/bottled water. Our hosts were welcoming and very friendly and Doug was a great breakfast chef. We were treated to frittatas, omelets, sausages, a wonderful tropical fruit selection and the most delicious banana/nut bread cake... More

Doug and Jamie run a great B&B. Doug is an outstanding cook that has fed famous folks for many years, and now takes his talents to this delightful B&B. They are both familiar with the area and are willing to give their ideas to ensure you have the best visit and find the hidden gems on the island. We will... More

Doug and Jamie are very friendly and quite knowledgeable about the town. They gave us their business card to get a discount at the Kaleo's Bar & Grill but we forgot to use it. The food was quite good and the calamari steak for appetizer is tender and a must to have for appetizer. The Bali Spirit Suite was comfortable... More

The b and b was clean and the beds were comfortable but it was not the hospitable experience i had read about- the owners were a bit short and seemed put off - maybe it was due to having a newborn . The owners seemed bothered to have us there, despite the fact that we were hardly there

I'm not sure why this guest is trying to throw us under the bus when we did accomodate her and her family along with the rest of the full house we had at that time. We provided them great breakfasts each morning of their stay, made sure her growing boys had plenty of great food to start off their day.... More
