We stayed at the Rainbow Plantation B&B for 4 night on February 2015. The room we had was the Jungle Queen, a converted boat. The accommodation was very nice, clean and unique. As the name implies, this is a plantation surrounded with nut and fruit trees. If you're looking for the typical touristy resort, you're in the wrong place. Christian,... More

After enduring the crowds in Waikiki for a conference, my partner and I were fortunate to book a quiet suite at this rustic B&B. Although it's located on the dry side of the island, the lush surroundings of the B&B made us feel like we were in a rainforest. We stayed in the Hale Huna suite, which has a futon... More

The pros: This place is charming and funky, complete with a koi pond, free ranging chickens, and a beautiful peacock named Romeo. It's eclectic and rustic which usually suits my taste quite nicely. The staff we encountered were kind, courteous, and helpful. The cons: 1) Cleanliness is not great - and I'm no neat freak, believe me! I've stayed in... More

This guest stayed here in April. Normally we were supposed to be closed for business but some guests wanted to stay with limited service (no breakfast for example) so we decided to let them stay here. I was gone and had to rely on my assistants to help out and take care of the place, and unfortunatelly they may not... More

Mar 9, 2014 We just left there after 5 days and thought it was excellent. Price is right for great american B&B breakfast and very quiet. Staff couldn't have been nicer. Wanted to satisfy all needs and were not pushy. No Rules Signs anywhere. Great location- beautiful views. Outdoor kitchen for guest's use. Loans out snorkel stuff, beach towels, chairs.... More

Just got back from vacation last week. This was my second time at Rainbow Plantation B&B. If you are looking for a back-to-nature feel, this is the place for you. Anyone can stay at a hotel with the usual amenities, but I felt like I was staying in a tree house in old Hawaii, surrounded by acres of beautiful foliage.... More

I chuckle at some of the previous negative reviews because, well, this B & B is not a good fit for those of you who like to be pampered. In fact, I hate to be pampered and rather enjoyed the rough edges of the place. It's clean, it's comfortable, and most likely, will be unlike anywhere you've ever stayed before.... More

It's difficult to rate this bed and breakfast, as there were many positive elements and some negative ones. One the plus side, the grounds are beautiful, the room was plain but comfortable, and the location was fairly convenient to beaches, shopping, etc. On the downside, the peacock(s) that roam the grounds squawks at all hours of the day and night,... Aloha and thanks for staying here ! Through the year we have been busy renovating all rooms and improving service and breakfast, and I think we are doing an awesome job now ! Next up is a veggie garden for all to enjoy, and perhaps later a hot tub and sun deck. So please come back again ! More

We booked 6 nights at this B&B but ended up staying 12 nights. We stayed in three different rooms and liked all of them. One of the rooms were a boat witch was very unique. The owner, Christian, was very friendly and helpful and the rest of the staff as well! The breakfast was the best we've had in our... More

I had some pleasant e-mail exchanges with Christian prior to staying here so I was looking forward to our visit. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. Christian exchanged perhaps 30 words with us when we checked in and did not visit with us at all during breakfast. Breakfast itself was very disappointing. There was a single plate... More

We felt so very welcome here! Delicious breakfast, superb location next to one of the best snorkeling locations and best of all: the Jungle Queen...this "room" is actually a converted boat that now has a bedroom, a shower, a toilet and a living room. We added another day simply because it was heaven. Christian and his team were superb hosts.
