I stayed here for 3 nights in a 8 bed dorm room. The facilities are pretty average for a hostel, but the owner is extremely unfriendly. Showers are not open 24/7 and the only sinks that are available are not in an enclosed area. No Wifi reception in the dorm room, only outside in the common area.

Pineapple Park has been a great place to stay. It is very easy to feel safe and comfortable, there are many places on the property for you to relax or hangout and meet with other travelers from around the world. There facilities here are clean and well maintained. There is a nice kitchen as well as a BBQ grill on... More

I left for a round the world trip 9 month ago, sleeping 90% of the time in hostel and this is the first time I feel the need to review one. Even though the hostel itself was clean and nice, the owner was the rudest woman I ever met. I usually don't really care about the service - I'm not... More

The only possibility to stay at pinapples is two nights or longer, the wifi is slow and not available in the rooms and the most shocking is annie...she is the most unfriendly owner i have ever meet..her words were she doesnt care about reviews because people would stay in the hostel anyway...because of the service i would definitely NOT stay... The hostel is not bad (the rooms are clean and the facilities are good) but pretty far from everything. You definitely need a car to stay at this hostel. However, I don't recommend staying there. The price is excessive (34$ for a dorm) and the "manager" is very rude: - We kindly asked if a discount was possible and she... More

The rooms were okay and clean. Showers and kitchen close at 10am. U can't get 2 ur drinks or clean urself up. The manager was hard to reach and when u asked something the reaction was very friendly. Location was far from supermarkets or any beaches.

Stupid rules and they actually lock showers and kitchen doors at 10pm and don't open until 6am.... So much for late check in and early depart! Poor value for money Top bunk to close to bottom bunk, no head rest and pillow flies off the end of bed. No access to phone.... Use across the road. It's like being in... More

We stayed here for 5 nights in a private room. The queen sized bed was comfortable & room was clean. The owner was a very nice, helpful & friendly lady. This hostel is located in Captain Cook & not actually right in Kona. That may be an issue if you do not rent a vehicle, but not necessarily. There are... More

Although I had mistakenly booked a room at the Volcano location and there is normally a two night minimum stay, the owner was very kind and we were able to have a single night stay in one of the rooms usually reserved for stays of a week or more. We enjoyed the comfortable room, which was absolutely spotless. Would have... More

We didn't have any problems per se with this hostel and since we were last minute to book a place, I was happy to find one at all, but if you have a choice, I would say you might want to stay somewhere else. First, this is a little drive from Kailua-Kona and without a car, that traveling was a... More
