I fell in love with Mauna Lani. Walking around looking at the fish ponds, two beaches in easy walking distance, beautiful landscaping and trails. We stayed in unit H302 and it was simply perfect. Tastefully furnished and very very comfortable. A full pantry for our use. A bottle of wine and Kona coffee and a pineapple for us. Unit was... More

I stayed at E202 which I booked via vrbo and got a better price than booking directly with Mauna Lani Terrace. Michael was very prompt to answer any of our queries. The villa was spacious, we had a 1 bedroom villa, which had a fantastic view over the ocean from the huge balcony located on the 1st floor. The villa... More

Our 10 days in Michael and Mary Ann's villa could not have been better. H302 is a completely updated, very well-equipped, and ideally located top floor unit. The Mauna Lani Terrace is a 5 star property with every amenity you could ask for. The combination is unbeatable. The Mauna Lani Resort features several great swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing beaches, beautiful... More

If complete relaxation is what you need then getting a unit at Mauna Lani Terrace is worth it. We are two couples who stayed at A104 for five nights. The bedrooms offer good sleep with clean and crisp linens. The living room has a table good for six so entertaining visitors is no problem. Kitchen and laundry are well-equipped with... More

Mahalo "lanaval" for review of the Mauna Lani Terrace. You are right, "complete relaxation" is what this place is about! The Mauna Lani Terrace was built on the grounds surrounding the traditional fishponds and tidal ponds of Kalahuipua'a Bay, in the exact location where Hawaiian royalty chose to spend leisure time. It is now a historic nature preserve that has... More

We just returned from an incredible vacation where we stayed at the ML Terrace A202. While the Terrace looks a bit dated on the exterior, we chose this place because it is centrally located on the ML Resort near the hotel, the Beach Club and the market. Our unit was nicely remodeled with a well stocked kitchen, plenty of towels,... More

Merci "joiedevivre" for your review. It is true that the pool and lounge chairs of the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel are reserved for hotel guests only, however, the Mauna Lani Terrace boasts the only Beachfront amenity center of any condominium complex in the Resort! We are pleased that you enjoyed the value and experience of your vacation at the Mauna... More

I must say, I've stayed many times at the ML Terrace over the years, but this is the first time I've written a review. In reading other reviews that are of a not-so-glowing nature, ok bad reviews, they seem to stem around two issues. One of those two issues is also mentioned of the ML Hotel, when it receives a... We just returned from a 10 day stay at unit H302 at Mauna Lani Terrace. Here are some words that describe the unit and the location - breathtaking, stunning, fabulous, amazing, perfect! We rented through VRBO so knew what we were getting - a beautiful updated unit in a class by itself. When the property manager met us at the... More

The condos are targeted to the senior citizen croud. It's OK for adults to be loud in their conversations while sitting on balconies but it is forbidden for a child, or adult to express joy at the pool or anywhere else on property. There are multiple signs on edge of the pool as a reminder to keep quiet. Any pool... More

General: I have stayed in several units within Mauna Lani Terrace. They are older, larger in sq ft, and vary greatly in quality of their furnishings. Accept the fact that you are paying for the location - a great base in South Kohala. My experience during our 2-week stay in K202 was a 4/5 rating, but the little things (described... More

My partner and I stayed in G-201 (one-bedroom) this past week at the Mauna Lani Terrace, and overall, we had a great experience. Usually we stay in my parents' unit—J104, a two-bedroom—but because we were there with extended family, my father rented G-201 for us without knowing the owners or the unit. Pros: - Clean, well-maintained, and obviously the owners... More
