Tucked inside a small neighborhood, one drives into a small parking lot and then it’s a short walk to the 2 story building which houses the two room accommodations. Only then do you see Mauna Kea and fully understanding the reason this place is call “Aaah the Views”! Going inside the downstairs room, you can see the mountain from the... More

There are guests that I may not have any direct connection with because our schedules don't meet up during their stay, but I am always available by phone or text. Then there are guests with whom I have lots of nice interaction during their stay. Then, occasionally there are guests for whom I really go the extra mile....and all I... More

I was needing to spend two weeks working in Kawaihae on a research project and was a bit concerned about the accommodation budget. I could get a commercial rate at a local resort, but it was still over $160 a night and had no cooking facilities. Food in Hawaii is pretty expensive, plus I wanted to be able to use... More

A truly great introduction to the Hawaiian Islands! We arrived late (due to late flight) and were welcomed warmly by Derek. He told us all we needed to know and left us to it. Our room was so homely (comfortable and luxurious) that I was disappointed already that we had only booked two days. We booked the Dream Room with... More

Very nice B&B. However, it was obvious that the breakfast part was in transition. We had a wonderful cold breakfast (papaya, yogurt, granola, coffee/tea, milk, muffins) waiting for us in the fridge for the first morning breakfast but none of the used dishes were cleared--although they were place neatly in the bin) and there was no replenishment for the next... My wife and I recently stayed several nights at Aah, The Views Bed and Breakfast in Waimea, Hawaii. Pros : It truly does have spectacular views, and the space of the Treetop Suite is spacious and comfortable and fun, with 2 lofts and an interesting arrangement of space. We would probably stay again because of the views. The owner is... More

Aloha and thank you for your review. Would you please let me know which guest this is? I want to research what happened with the breakfast issue. Aaah the Views turned from a B&B to an Inn in early February 2015. If you look at our website, you will see this announcement and that we lowered our rates to adjust... More

Typically we stay in house rentals, but for a short stop, this was perfect. The views are really great and the grounds are beautiful. Since we were staying as a family (all adults) we booked the treetop suite (2 rooms with the shared bath). All the supplies you might need are there, like shampoo, beach towels, guide books, maps, etc.... More

Aloha and thank you so much for that wonderful review! It is really great when guests get to enjoy the magic of this place. We enjoy sharing it! And thank you for your accurate commentary on the kitchenette in the Treetop Suite. I agree with you that the space design is better suited to a couple or family members. We... More

What a lovely place! Let me start with the location....it is perfect! Waimea is a perfect spot for exploring the Big Island. You can get to the beautiful white sand beaches o the North West coast in 20 minutes (where the weather is perfect most of the time). And you are less than 30 miles to the East coast of... More

Though we only had time for one night in the Treetop Suite, it was long enough to recommend it to anyone. The views are indeed aaah-mazing, the rooms are clean and tastefully furnished, and the hosts are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient for restaurants and stores in Waimea, as well as providing a good base for exploring the... More

we stayed here for my birthday in early December, wow! It was fantastic, we stayed in the dream room and our view was just beyond description. We love the Big Island and especially Waimea, but this place made it so much better, we stayed 4 nights and didn't really want to go home. The bed was super comfy, very quiet... More
