After seeing the Jacaranda Inn for years (I am an astronomer at Keck) and hearing recommendations from friends, I finally stayed here. I really enjoyed the place, and it has lots of "character". Like most B&B's you need to know what you're getting to be happy. This is a century-old house in the true Hawaii planation style, with a very... More

What a beautiful place with amazing surroundings. It almost does not seem real. Every single room is different and has its own antique furniture. It includes a poker room, salon, bar, library with a pool table, dining room and of course veranda. I would have thought this is a museum where you can't touch anything as everything is just so... We stayed here for three nights while we were on the big island. It is actually a home place for the Parker ranch that has been redone and each room in the motel was different. It reminds you of a bed and breakfast. It was really different. The owner had gone out of their way to furnish the room in... More

The Jacaranda Inn is a very picturesque Inn located in Waimea, Hawaii. The rooms are very large, especially the bathrooms. The gardens are gorgeous. This is a great place to decompress and relax while spending time on the big island. One warning: don't leave your door open. This is a tropical island and insects can be an issue.

I need a GET AWAY when I go to Hawaii. And this property is the embodiment of that. Along with luxury bathrooms...jacuzzi tubs and PRIVACY!!! I felt like we were in seclusion! The morning rainbows and a sense of being in our own private heaven. Please dont change!!!!

When we arrived at about 10p.m. there was a little paper placed on the front door telling us which room we are in. As you cant get any breakfast there (you also cant get anything else) it easily could be that you stay there for 3 nights not even having seen any staff. Nobody you could ask anything, no drinks... My husband surprised me with a one night stay at this inn in Waimea. We have passed it many times going to our favorite beach, Hapuna. This time we arrived early so we could view the property before it got dark. It was something to see. So much history. The check in person did not spend any time with us.... More

We visit the Big Island often, and decided to stay here after a late flight to Kona. It was just what we needed; beautiful grounds, well appointed and spacious rooms, and wonderful climate. Waimea/Kamuela is an interesting town, and we had a great time at the Waimea Farmer's market next to the Parker School on Saturday morning. The Inn's rooms... More

Visiting friends in Waimea this week. They recommended staying here and frankly, it exceeded my expectations in many ways. As others have explained, this was the turn of the century home of the manager of the Parker Ranch, the largest land-owner on the Big Island. It's a sizable property and while it's not manicured to perfection like a Four Seasons... More

I selected this inn because of the reviews, and I was very happy with our stay. The setting is beautiful; very quiet and relaxing. Our room was spacious with a large, well appointed bathroom. We enjoyed touring the main house and grounds. The owner is delightful.
