I need a GET AWAY when I go to Hawaii. And this property is the embodiment of that. Along with luxury bathrooms...jacuzzi tubs and PRIVACY!!! I felt like we were in seclusion! The morning rainbows and a sense of being in our own private heaven. Please dont change!!!!

When we arrived at about 10p.m. there was a little paper placed on the front door telling us which room we are in. As you cant get any breakfast there (you also cant get anything else) it easily could be that you stay there for 3 nights not even having seen any staff. Nobody you could ask anything, no drinks... My husband surprised me with a one night stay at this inn in Waimea. We have passed it many times going to our favorite beach, Hapuna. This time we arrived early so we could view the property before it got dark. It was something to see. So much history. The check in person did not spend any time with us.... More

We visit the Big Island often, and decided to stay here after a late flight to Kona. It was just what we needed; beautiful grounds, well appointed and spacious rooms, and wonderful climate. Waimea/Kamuela is an interesting town, and we had a great time at the Waimea Farmer's market next to the Parker School on Saturday morning. The Inn's rooms... More

Visiting friends in Waimea this week. They recommended staying here and frankly, it exceeded my expectations in many ways. As others have explained, this was the turn of the century home of the manager of the Parker Ranch, the largest land-owner on the Big Island. It's a sizable property and while it's not manicured to perfection like a Four Seasons... More

I selected this inn because of the reviews, and I was very happy with our stay. The setting is beautiful; very quiet and relaxing. Our room was spacious with a large, well appointed bathroom. We enjoyed touring the main house and grounds. The owner is delightful.

I came into Waimea, HI without reservation so I came across this inn. It is like staying in a museum, in a good way. Inn was built in 1897, for manager of ranch/plantation. The individual units are converted bunkhouses and other buildings. The main house is still furnished with all the furniture of the Laurence Rockefeller era. You can spend... More

We had a two night stay at the Jacaranda Inn in mid August. The Inn is fascinating and well kept. We stayed in the Vanda room which was lovely. It had a giant king bed, a separate sitting room and a very nice bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and stall shower. It's a pity that the inn seems to be... More

We stayed here for one night in May, 2013. This place is an enigma. It's either going up or down. A year from now it could be a 5 or it could be a 1. I hope the former. The main house is fascinating, full of history and interesting things. Our room was huge; the bathroom itself was bigger than... More

A completely charming retreat on the extraordinary Big Island of Hawaii, Jacaranda Inn is situated in Waimea, an upland ranching town 3500 feet up in green, rolling volcanic hills. The property was once the home of the manager of the Parker Ranch (the biggest landowner on this island) and has a rambling, vintage charm. Rooms are located in cottages connected... More
