On July 4th we checked into the Waimea lodge. We loved the location of the property. Once we opened the door to our room, we realized the room on the inside did not match the beautiful surrondings on the outside. When we first walked into the room 119, immediately after opening the door, there was a very musty smell. We... more

First off this hotel was way too expensive for what it was. For $115 a night I would expect maybe some coffee in the room, hot water that takes less that 5 minutes to get to the shower, and general cleanliness (windows were filthy, bathroom had a few stains on the wall and there were a few holes in walls... more

We chose this hotel at the last minute because we were passing through the area. A travel guide recommended it, but I can't understand why. This hotel charged us $130 for a basic room, off-season. It was clean and everything worked fine but in the morning it's very loud (trucks) and there are no ammenities which would justify this price.... more

Good location to Parker Ranch - BUT the facility was old, dirty, and OVER PRICED for the quality. Our room was at the end of a dark, smelly hallway and the bathroom was disgustingly dirty We left the lights on all night - after killing 2 roaches. more

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our honeymoon. We were driving around the island and just needed a cheap place to stay, and this was it. The room was large, with two king-sized beds, and clean but nothing fancy. Our windows looked out onto the schoolyard behind us, which was nice. One thing we really liked... more

We stayed 1 Sat. night at the end of Sept. in a unit w/ a kitchenette & 2 queen beds for $139 (with tax).. This 1-story motel was clean & simple, no lobby, just a small outdoor waiting area when you check in. The receptionist was efficient & courteous. We didn't need the kitchen, but it looked adequately stocked w/pans,... more

We attended a concert and didn't want to drive back to Kailua so chose to stay here for one night ... mistake! It would have been smarter to drive the 40 minutes to the coastal resorts or the hour+ home. We stayed in a deluxe suite ... what a laugh. This is one of those places that you don't take... more

We went to Kamuela/Waimea to go to a concert, Jake Shimabukuro (an amazing ekulele player) at the Kahilu Theatre (a wonderful 400 seat theater, great place to hear a concert). We stayed at the Waimea Country Lodge. The lodge has a motel feel to it. The room was clean and comfortable. We did have a beautiful view of the mountains... more

We stayed at the Waimea Country Lodge and found it to be clean with large rooms. It is a motel/court style hotel. The gal that was on duty when we were there was very helpful and even made dinner reservations for us. It is close to everything including some fine gourmet restaurants which Waimea offers. It isn't a fancy place,... more

Despite the pictures on the internet, this small motel is located right in town in Waimea, but does have a nice view out the back windows. Next to a good restuarant. Room was very large, great TV channels. Not much other options in Waimea, if any, but this motel is fine to stay in--don't be turned off by the outside... more
