The Mauna Lani is a wonderful resort! We were here for a wedding with all the extended family, ranging from age 3 to mid 60's and everyone loved it! There is so much to do, and the staff truly dotes on the guests! My children, ages 3, 8, 11 and 13 loved that they could get complimentary boogie boards, snorkeling... more

My family and I have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Mauan Lani Hotel. Every aspect of the stay was excellent. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel. On arrival, check in was efficient and friendly. We were seated at a comfortable desk while all the paperwork was completed. Tropical juice and beautiful lei's were... more

We stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. We originally had a room overlooking the parking lot but got an upgrade to ocean-front for about $85 more per night, since it was our honeymoon. Oh, and we also got a free bottle of champagne. The upgrade was worth it since we got to sleep with our doors open... more

We just got back from a wonderful stay at the Mauna Lani and want to share our thoughts. First we were a group of 16 ranging in age from 6 to 87 years old and everyone had a great stay. We split our group between the Villas and the Hotel (Note we booked the non-view garden rooms and we all... more

I would have to say that this resort was the best that I saw on the Big Island. I did not see the Four Seasons but for more than double the price, I could care less. For the beauty and the amazing customer service, I was amazed. The check-in was great as you are taken to a private desk to... more

Our first visit to both the Island of Hawaii and Mauna Lani, we found both to be absolutely wonderful. We chose this hotel for our thirtieth anniversary celebration, due to many favorable reviews and their 'green' efforts. We liked everything we discovered in our research and were very comfortable with our choice from the beginning. Our expectations were high and... more

Mauna Lani is a solid 4 1/2 star resort. It delivered on that most important Hawaiian vacation item: relaxation. There is something about it that naturally makes one relax… maybe it’s the lovely koi pond leading the way into the open air lobby, maybe the nice breeze flowing through the entire hotel building, maybe the lovely main beach w/ its... more

We booked the Mauna Lani for the first week out of our two week honeymoon. I had medium expectations of the resort and my expectations were met, but not exceeded. Going into it we heard it was not as nice as The Four Seasons Kona, but nicer than The Fairmont and we would have to agree with that. There are... more

Overall, the Mauna Lani is a very nice hotel. The beds were comfortable; I loved the spa and enjoyed the view from our oceanfront room. I’ve seen better beaches and I’ve definitely seen worse. There are loads of turtles swimming about, and the birds make lovely music in the morning. Breakfast was included with our room. Every morning while we... more
