We spent three nights at the Palms Cliff House and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was nice, the grounds are nice, the staff is very nice. No issues other than the room safe which did not want to open again after locking some stuff up in it. The room maintenance person was able open it again. The breakfast was... More

We had a great stay at the Palm's. Great location just a little outside of Hilo. Breakfasts were very very good. Rooms super clean with excellent views. Unlike some reviewers we found the staff and owners to be really nice and helpful. A couple minor things that would make the Palms better... At $280 per night to charge a quarter... More

Room was nice and clean with many amenities. Great views of the ocean with many places to sit on the Lanai. Small grounds. Due to our schedule we were unable to eat breakfast at the Inn. We left the sliding door open hoping to hear whales, but only heard the chickens and the coqui frogs. 20 minute drive to Hilo... More

We arrived late at night, missing the entrance once, for our one night stay. Upon arrival we were stunned at the beauty of the surroundings and our room. The place is like a mini plantation over looking beautiful cliffs and stunning ocean. The decor and all details are very tasteful. We woke up an hour earlier, just to be able... More

We stayed four nights. Beautiful location, loved the lanai and proximity to the ocean. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious every morning; however the owner's wife did not speak to us although we saw her around several times. The grounds needed some cleanup. All in all, an enjoyable stay.

The small boutique hotel (or is that "motel" because of outside entrance corridors close to parking area) didn't quite hit the mark. Okay rooms, fairly clean, with nice verandas looking out to ocean but partially obstructed views due to palms and foliage. And oddly enough as another recent reviewer also noted, the jets in the tub were indeed dirty. Also... More

We just spent two nights at the Inn. Beside the fact that it is rather pricey for a B&B on the Hilo side of the island - a fact you are aware of when booking it - we had a wonderful stay there. I do not quite understand how your expectations cannot be matched by it. Large rooms with nice... More

We spent one night before leaving Hawaii in December. The Inn is described as a boutique hotel but it did not meet our expectations for such a description. The bath in the bathroom was jetted hot tub but the jets were filthy. The baseboard in the bathroom was also damaged and dirty. We had to leave before breakfast was served... More

I stayed with my wife beginning of December for 3 nights at the Palms Cliff Inn. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped. Beds are very comfortable. Location is good to explore the Hilo side of the island, lots of sightseeing spots within an hour drive from the Inn. There is free wifi on the lounge area, but no... More

Aloha, and thank you for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and I appreciate your concerns about no wifi in the rooms. You are correct that we do not provide access in the rooms. So many of our guests now travel with smart devices that connect on their own that we have been scaling back our in house... More

The resort is located on the Hilo side of Big Island and is full of tall trees, birds and ocean front rooms. Rooms were decent and very tropical in nature with cane/bamboo furniture and nice balcony for calm ocean views. The breakfast prepared by the staff in the morning was very nice and overall a great place to stay.
