We spent four nights at the Palms Cliff House Inn and enjoyed all of them greatly. The location is lovely, with a full view of the bay. Our room was room #6 - second floor-with AC. We did use the AC at night, mainly because of humidity (you can't have the lovely rainforest setting without it!). the room had very... More

After two days of hiking in Volcanoes National Park, the Palms Cliff House was the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the fabulous room we had (Tropical Dreams #3), and the view from the lanai. Unfortunately tropical storm/hurricane Ana was being very unpredictable and we had to cut our visit short. The location of the Inn is not... More

Remote is good for those who like privacy. Remote is not good if you don't have a rental car. The Palms Cliff House Inn is just what you would expect in a B&B. The three days we were there we never met the elusive owners, but their staff was excellent. The young lady that prepared and served breakfast was the... More

We enjoyed the Palms Cliffhouse, Nice rooms, quiet and well kept, beautiful grounds, good breakfast, all in all an Excellent B&B, try to get an upstairs room for the view and AC. 11 miles north of Hilo, around 15 mins. Very Close to two waterfalls and the Hawaii tropical botanical gardens, would reccomend and will try to return. Wifi only works in dining... More

This was our second stay at The Palms. The first time we had an upstairs room which was satisfactory in every way; this time we chose a downstairs room, which proved to be a problem: no air conditioning. The inn is situated on a cliff overlooking a truly gorgeous rocky bay, so the obvious solution was to open the sliding... More

I reserved the nights of Oct 25th and 26th 2014, but about 2 weeks before arrival my mother-in-law passed away and the memorial service is scheduled for the 25th, so I called to cancel and see if I could get a refund of some sort; however, the person at Palm Cliffs said I booked thru AARP and I needed to... My husband & I stayed 2 nights at this property. I didn't realize it only has 8 rooms. The property is nice & rooms clean. But the main issue this hotel has is how far away it is from everything, At least 20 minutes from Hilo. They don't have a restaurant nearby. For breakfast they served a plain omelette, sausage,... We discovered this lovely place while looking for a place to stay near Hilo. It looked great on their website, but when we arrived it was even better. A large home built in the 1990s, somewhat Victorian in style; the owners added on a wing for guest rooms. Our room was beautiful; it was obvious that the room was decorated... More

The B&B is on a hilltop with sweeping ocean views just north of Hilo. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself was average, however, the view and location make up for it. There were beautiful green gecko's on the property that joined us daily for breakfast.

We spent two nights here while we explored the Hilo side of the island. We were delighted with our beautiful room and bamboo four poster bed! The receptionist at the front desk (a beautiful antique- the desk, not the receptionist!), greeted us and pointed out the many amenities provided at the inn (umbrellas, coolers to fill with ice, hundreds of...
