Quiet and peaceful with a warm, friendly and wise owner. Jacqueline Horn prepared delicious, healthy breakfasts for our 2 day stay. She revealed some secrets about Hawaii and places to go. She was simultaneously laid back and energetic. A rare combination. This B&B is one of the best places we have ever stayed. We recommend the Birds Eye Room.

Very nice, laid back, homey vibe. Quiet and peaceful. Jacqueline, the congenial host was a font of information. Very good breakfast. Very nice common room, with loads of reading material, on the Islands, cooking and other interesting topics. Good location for exploring the north of the island.

We only stayed briefly, however Jacqueline gave us the warmest welcome and our stay was lovely. Thanks for the loan of a warm jacket and the advice for the trip up Muana Kea - and thanks for the cookies when we had to be away before breakfast the following morning. We can't recommend this place enough.

Plantation house with several rooms decorated nicely without a singe comfortable piece of furniture in the house if you want to hang out or if it is pouring rain. That includes your room. Great breakfast service with lots of options. If you need any information about anything, the owner knows everything about everything. Not a lot of value here.

We stayed here on our last night on the island. The home is an old plantation house, split up into a bed and breakfast. The owner, Jacqueline, was a charming woman, who went out of the way to make sure our stay was pleasant. There was coffee and tea always available. The breakfast was a sit down one at 8am.... More

We had such a great evening. Close to nice restaurants and close to amazing hiking. Great stargazing at night and a delicious and healthy breakfast! Our room was quiet, peaceful and very comfortable with access to the back balcony and amazing stars.

Beautiful house, 6 bedrooms each with private bath, beautiful view of ocean in distance from back yard. Immaculately kept house, high quality sheets ironed by innkeeper, great common areas with 8am gourmet breakfasts served family style. Food is made from scratch using local organic ingredients, turned into a painter's palet for mouth. Innkeeper owns the house and takes great pride... More

Lovely inn and innkeeper. I stayed in the Chinese room. Loved it. Single traveler. Wonderful breakfast. Innkeeper has many great adventure suggestions. I only stayed one night. Next time I'm staying for a week!

Both my daughter and I enjoyed a very warm and comfortable ambience at the Wayside B&B. A truly authentic B&B with cozy snacks and tea awaiting us in the afternoon. Martha Stewart must meet Jacqueline, the Hostess of Wayside B&B because Jacqueline's breakfast was delicious, beautiful and properly served to all guest at the table. This was not a rush... More

We are from Kaua'i and love to check out B&B opportunities on the outer islands. This home is a gem with old style Hawaii construction. Single-wall and wood ceilings true to plantation homes of its era. Well kept and obviously loved. We were greeted by our hostess Jacqueline with a gracious note and then in person when she offered the... More
