We spent two nights in the "attic" at the Lotus Garden. they called it an attic but it has windows all around and is the entire top floor of an old converted tin roof cottage. The bed was heavenly and the downstairs of the house has a great zen vibe. Another bedroom is downstairs with a shared kitchen and bath,... More

We loved our stay at the Lotus Garden. We were only there for 2 nights but felt a very warm welcome by Megan and Jasper (and the cat). We were treated to fresh fruit and flowers upon our late arrival. The house is spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed the unique shower downstairs. It is very centrally located close to shops,... More

We only stayed one night with Megan and Jasper at the Lotus Garden, and wished we could have stayed longer! Wonderful location right downtown. They had great recommendations for things to do, restaurants to eat at. We stayed in the attic room and shared the house with a friendly traveler downstairs. The kitchen is lovely and the surroundings are beautiful.... More

We were looking at places to stay at Hilo and we stumbled upon this cute little place. The location is very central, only minutes of walk away from restaurants and main attractions. We stayed in the attic and enjoyed natural lights and sounds of frogs at night. The host Megan is very sweet and knowledgeable of the area, gave us... More

definitely recommend staying here while you're in Hilo. you can walk in 2 minutes to sharks' coffee, the farmers market, laundry and get your ahi at suisan which is a little further. Thanks Megan and Jasper!

I had a great stay at the Lotus Garden in Hilo, the colorful house remembered me at Camden Town in London:) The accommodation i very comfortable with a big bed and a new bathroom. But at most I like the kitchen which was probably the cleanest all over the island - I love to cook by myself:) I decided to... More

My wife and I spent a week at the Lotus garden before and after the New Year. The first impression of the Lotus Garden is great accommodation and terrific gardens. The Colour schemes at first are surprising, then you realise they reflect the colour of the gardens.. Staying at the Lotus Garden is a very special experience and makes you... More

We got to the Lotus Garden fairly late on a Saturday evening. It is not far from the Hilo airport, a little hard to find in the evening, but accommodating once you arrive. The overall vibe is nice and calm and it is a good location to walk around Hilo. It is clean and fairly spacious. We had the upstairs... More

We were lucky to find this little place. The location was good, and the hosts, Megan and Jasper, were very welcoming and accommodating. I liked the place a lot, there were two bedrooms, one downstairs and one master room on the second floor, full of light and space. This is not a typical luxurious hotel-y place, but if you want... We found this place (and Hilo) to have a real soul, as compared to Kailua-Kona's over-touristy blandness. A peaceful private retreat tucked away behind an art store. The memories of staying here will last a lifetime. A stay for the soul. Meghan and Jasper are so inviting! When we arrived in the dark after 9pm Megan was standing outside to... More
