My partner and I felt incredibly lucky to stay at Emeraldview on the last two nights of our Hawaii adventure. We had not reserved in advance and were thrilled when we called on our arrival in Hilo to find a room available for our stay. Having seen the property online I knew that it was a beautiful setting, but no... more

I love this place! My husband and I came on our honeymoon. We only stayed 2 days since we were island-hopping. The view was perfect! We were respected and given our privacy we so desperately needed after a big family wedding! The food was delicious and filling! I would skip a high end resort any day to stay in this... more

We stayed for 4 nights while getting married in Hilo. Our stay was during the same period as the previous reviewer, and we had a completely different experience. The house is absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean. The fresh flowers, antique furniture, and decorations are gorgeous and give the place a magical feel. The breakfast was delicious (loved the Kona coffee)... more

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend when we came out to Hilo for a wedding. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner. He was very warm and gave us a tour of the beautiful Inn. At the end of the tour he asked us about what time we wanted breakfast the next morning. He... more

We found this property on TripAdvisor and were excited to go. (We love TripAdvisor!) This property exceeded all of our expectations. The hosts were discrete, wonderful, and experienced. The decor features period Jacoulette prints, fantastic antique furniture from the hosts' world travels, etc. We were particularly amazed by the breakfast. In usual B&Bs, you are "subjected" to being nice to... more

Had a great stay. location, decor, breakfast etc surpassed our expectations. This was not our first choice of places but would certainly be our first choice the next time. Walk into town may be a bit far for some. Owners may be moving on so stay there while you can! more

We stayed at this Bed & Breakfast for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were excellent (wonderful coffee, fresh fruit, and hot items) and served directly to our room by the hosts, Ken and Antonio. The view from our room was absolutely gorgeous and the sound of the waterfall a plus. The accomodations were very comfortable and... more

We stayed at the Emeraldview last month, & had a wonderful time. We were looking for a romantic retreat in a serene, away-from-it-all location, & this spot fit the bill perfectly. Ken & Antonio were gracious & thoughtful hosts -- we were blown away by their careful attention to every possible detail, & so appreciative of the total privacy they... more

We stayed in Hilo recently and did a fair amount of research looking for somewhere to stay for the night we were there. Fortunately for us we chose the Emerald View ! There's really not much more we can add to all the glowing reviews here but to whole heartedly agree with them and thank Ken and Antonio for being... more

My husband and I spent a month vacationing in Hawaii to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stayed at various places during our month long stay in Hawaii. During our vacation we stayed at various hotels, condos, B&B. We rank Emeraldview as being in the top two favorite places we stayed in all of Hawaii. The reason we give Emeraldview such... more
