My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in February. It's pretty easy to find, just off the main highway. It was only about 5 minutes away from downtown Hilo where there was shopping and restaurants. We stayed in the Heritage Room. The shower was really nice! And the room was a good size with a tv. There is... More

We stayed in Hilo for sightseeing mountains, volcano and other. Owners were friendly and helpful. Food was good. We had breakfast with other travellers on the deck outside over looking the water. We would see whales while eating breakfast at times. We stayed in Moana Room for 3 nights. The location was quiet. We did not have trouble sleeping from... More

We came to Hilo to spend the night as we were going for a helicopter tour first thing in the morning. Upon arrival were surprised by the amount of stairs. My aunt has difficulty with stairs and uneven surfaces, maybe think twice about this location if this is an issue for anyone in your party as there are many stairs... More

Great location overlooking the surfing beach. Ric & Maria have fine-tuned their operation: everything works well, great site seeing and eating recommendations. The main positive was whale watching while enjoying coffee and breakfast on the deck. The main negative would be the incessant calls of whistling frogs at night.

We stayed in Bamboo Room. The hosts were very friendly. The location is very quiet. You may hear the waves and the Coqui frogs. Very nice sounds for a good sleep. We never had problems with these sounds of nature. The room was not so big but clean. To enter the room and to get to your lanai you have... More

I can't really add anything new, so I'll just go over the plusses and minuses that we experienced. Plusses first - the tremendous ocean view and lovely grounds, the tasty and filling breakfasts (there were always leftovers), clean rooms. The pool was small, but nice for cooling off and relaxing after a day of activities. Not the most effusive hosts,... More

I recently returned to this restful B & B, and enjoyed my stay once again! The hosts Ric & Maria are very helpful & knowledgeable of what to see & do around the island and the breakfasts Maria cooked up each day were delicious. The rooms are cozy & every room has an ocean view - quite lovely. I stayed... More

When they tell you you will want to have more than one night here, please believe them. We didn't, and I'm dying to go back. The view from our room was incredible, and breakfast was fantastic. The owners are full of great tips on restaurants and adventures. The rooms are comfortable, and we slept better here than anywhere else we... More

We had a great view from our room and the breakfast terrace. We could lay in bed and see everything. The folks were nice , helpful and friendly. Food was great and a good variety. We and our travel friends would highly recommend. The grounds around were relaxing and scenic. Boats, surfers, trees and flowers. Close to town with easy... More

We were very disappointed with the size of our room (the on-line photos made it look quite a bit larger) and the lack of the Aloha spirit from the owners. The Hot Tub that was advertised was not there at all and that was one reason we booked this B&B. The view was great, however, while trying to enjoy it... More
