We stayed two nights while enjoying Hilo. We had the Maile room in the Harmony House, overlooking the beautiful falls. We had a wonderful stay, with the only exception being the bed (far too firm mattress, and pillows encased in crunchy, clammy plastic). We loved the location several miles from town, enjoying the ride through agricultural lands every time. Breakfast... More

The lodging is as beautiful as the pictures on the website. There is some difficulty locating the site, as the Inn is tucked away in a rural ranching and farming area. Be sure to be very clear with Innkeepers about the dates of stay and lodging, as I found it difficult to connect with them after reservation had been made.... More

We stayed here during our weekend trip to Hilo from Kona. It looked beautiful on their website but it wasn't the same cleanliness in person. Let me start off with the pros... PROS: The pagoda house was great because we didn't want to share a kitchen or family room area with other guest. We wanted to be alone. -The beautiful... More

I'm not even sure where to begin. There were so many things wrong with this place. I'll start with location. The B&B is a few miles from Hilo, which sounds like it might be okay. However, when you see the one lane curvy, bumpy roads, you will realize that 1) it's a dangerous drive to make, especially at night, and... More

This was a very good Inn experience. The grounds for the Inn are stunning, and swimming in the pond with the waterfall should not be missed! The room was gorgeous, but the mattress was hard as a rock. I was fine the first night, but by the third night I was very stiff! The food was good and fresh. Do... More

Unfortunately we only stayed here 1 night during our drive around the Big Island. We had the Pikake Room (on the second floor) in Harmony House. The room was comfortable and clean; the bathroom only had a shower. It took us a while to figure out how to turn on the TV, but who needs that when you stepped out... More

My husband and I loved our stay here at this friendly comfortable hotel. It doesnt feel like a hotel, what you get is a super comfy room in an Asian Zen type themed house that is roomy, airy, relaxing, and best of all the deck overlooks the waterfall. And breakfast in the morning is a sumptious home cooked quality meal,... More

we stayed in Pagoda guesthouse for 1 night. the 2 front doors of the guest house we stayed in both doesn't have lock on it, which means everyone can open the door from outside and get in the room at night. I was obliged to keep vigilant at that night so barely went to sleep. Furturemore, there is 1 in... More

Nicest place we stayed at on the island. The location is simply stunning with its own waterfall and beautiful landscaping. Being off the beaten track provides solitude that is so important to a relaxing holiday. Fabulous breakfast and very nicely appointed rooms. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

This was our second stay at The Inn at Kulaniapia Falls, and we loved it both times. It is about 4.5 miles up the hill outside of Hilo, a winding but fun and interesting drive through macademia nut and citrus orchards. The setting on the waterfall is spectacular. The walk down to the bamboo grove (go all the way down!)... More
