If you're looking to get away from it all, the Inn at Kulaniapia Falls is just what you need. About a 20 min drive from the city of Hilo, the inn rests delightfully far from the traffic and noise of the city in stunning natural environs overlooking a waterfall and pool suitable for swimming (if you don't mind a slightly... This was the nicest B&B we have ever stayed at. The waterfall seems loud, but after a while it lulls one to sleep. Both my wife and daughter and i claim it was one of the best sleeps we've had. Initially, a little tricky to find so we were happy our first trip up those four miles was during daylight.... More

What a great and scenic place. The views and setting are gorgeous, Rooms are not large, but very well done. Our housekeeper Lea, put on a great breakfast and was a valuable resource on things to see and do. A bit of a drive up out of town(about 15 minutes) but well worth it for the scenery and atmosphere. we... More

Making reservations over the phone with Len was easy and inviting, and this unique Inn is enchanting. Just barely on the outskirts of Hilo center, we were transported to this tropical delight with a tastefully decorated, clean, cozy room overlooking the beautiful waterfalls. Breakfast was deliciously prepared by our charming hostess; Jasmine, offering a wide array of breads, muffins, fruits,... More

We stayed four nights at the Inn and had high expectations coming here due to the good reviews at TA and the professional website. Unfortunately we found the Inn to be overpriced. The room was nicely decorated, but very small- just enough space to go around the bed. Breakfast was ok, but not much variety and quantities not enough for... More

A memorable overnight in Hilo while driving around the Big Island (and you really shouldn't drive the island in one day)! The falls are beautiful and our room overlooking the falls was sparkling clean and had a great lanai. The property is in need of some TLC (the hot tub was not functioning and the nighttime falls lighting clearly had... More

Hidden 10 minutes outside of Hilo (use the directions, not GPS!) , this Inn offers a relaxed and quiet place to stay. The rooms are smaller than the cookie cutter hotel chains, but it was spotlessly clean and well maintained. My Lenai overlooked the falls, which were pretty impressive from all the recent rains. There is no air conditioning at... More

Great spot in the hills above Hilo. Very peaceful and relaxing and good base to visit sites in the area. A bit confusing when arriving as there wasn't anyone to check us in. Everything is self directed by the welcoming board and the keys are in the door except for one couple's. The breakfast cook was very informative the next... More

The confirmation email was very clear; it included directions to the location, how to find your room. The road leading to The Inn was 4 miles and the speed limit 15mph so that made for long travel out/back but the signage was good. The area was beautiful. The fall was as great as described. Very romantic and well worth the... More

First of all, this place is definitely worth visiting. The prices are fair for what you get. The setting is gorgeous and there are short hikes on the property that are well thought out and delightful. That said, here are the drawbacks AND some of the plusses: 1. It is a rural setting and difficult to find, especially if you... More
