So beautiful and relaxing. An invitation to experience what is effectively a private estate in the high ground above Hilo. Everything all other reviewers say is true regarding the grounds and the view. Highly recommended!

OK, so it's a little bit off the beaten path, but that's the beauty of it. You are in a rural country setting that is lush and peaceful. The breakfasts are terrific featuring an assortment of fresh fruits, breads, fluffy egg dish, and the famous macadamia nut waffles. Coffee, tea and juice are available starting at 0700 with breakfast from... More

My wife and I stayed at the Pikake Room at the Inn for two nights about a week ago. We were pleased with everything about our stay at the Inn. It is a very relaxing and relaxed place which we really appreciated after spending a week in Oahu at a "corporate" hotel. The owners and the staff at the inn... More

I booked a room for one night on the advice of seasoned travelers who stay there. The property is truly unique. The property is several miles uphill from Hilo on a country road. It is easy to find with the directions given out with the reservations. The main attraction is the waterfall and pool, but there is so much more... More

This is the best kept secret and a highlight of our trip. Great aloha and hospitality, beautiful clean rooms but most of all the amazing trails, bamboo gardens and the immense waterfall that is only open to guests. It's a millionaires experience but not at a millionaires budget. Fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waterfalls from... More

Nice setting but if you're going to Hawaii to drop your guard, relax,& leave negativity behind this place is a must miss. Len Sutton, the owner, greeted us as we drove up and gave us a friendly tour of the common area and the kitchen as he advised us to help ourselves to the tea or coffee after we settled. He... More

It is always so very disappointing when a guest of ours somehow does not have the very best experience. we have been dispensing our hospitality and aloha for 17 years and we work very hard to make sure that our guests have the very best experience possible on the Big Island. I remember this young lady very well. her and... More

What a beautiful spot. We weren't sure where to stay in the Hilo area but wanted something just a little off the beaten path. So relaxing and the drive up to the property was unbelievable. Farms and hills and trees....it was perfect. The property itself was quiet and relaxed and very well kept. We loved the sounds of the falls... More

I have done a lot of traveling in my life and have always stayed in grand resorts and beautiful hotels, but this place trumps them all. This was by far the most amazing, breathtaking, dream-like place I have ever been. I literally did not feel like it was real-life because it was so beautiful. Aside from the spectacular setting, the... More

Beautiful setting, very clean accommodations, robust breakfast, engaging host and excellent staff. Very close to Hilo, a bit cooler as it is higher in elevation. Very impressive Bamboo selections and the falls are outstanding.

Was a cute inn! We were pleasantly surprised how great this place was. It's quite a winding drive - you may feel like your going no where...but once you arrive you will be glad you did. We stayed in the residence building - but not a waterfall view- pay the extra for the view. It's gorgeous. We hiked down and... More
