My husband, DD of 16 and I spent 2 nights here in December. The room was lovely and the best super comfortable. Lenny, the innkeeper could not be nicer. We had to leave before breakfast one morning and the staff sent us off with wonderful fruit and granola bars. The views are stunning and the waffles are the best ever.

We stayed for 2 nights during our week on the big island. This was by far my favorite place that we stayed. From the welcoming check in to the beautiful paths to the refreshing pool beneath the private waterfall this place was perfect. It truly felt like a home away from home. The stall was friendly and put together a... More

This was an excellent B & B. Len & Jane were terrific hosts, the breakfast was delicious and prepared by wonderful staff. Our hosts recommended terrific places to eat in Hilo. The staff gave terrific sightseeing tips, especially City of Refuge. Follow the directions regarding the dogs and you will get along wonderfully. The poodle is the alpha and the... More

This is a gem off of the beaten path. My husband and I stayed in Hilo at the Hilo hotel in the past and weren't impressed, so we were looking for something different. This time we travelled with kids and grandparents. Our family of 5 stayed in the Pagota Guest House and Grandma and Grandpa had their own room. It... More

This is what I imagined Hawaii to be! Hilo is a rough town, there's no getting around it. This is a hidden gem in an otherwise disappointing town. It is a 12 minute drive out of Hilo, but it was also the prettiest area of Hilo, so enjoy the drive! I heard another couple complain they didn't think the accommodations... More

Although you had to travel 4 miles off of the main road, it is well-worth the ride. The views, the bamboo tree path to the waterfall, the macadamia nuts, and the fabulous breakfasts make this place a hidden gem. Although our room was very small, it had an enclosed patio. It was clean and we managed just fine. Our friend... More

I just like to tell it like it is. I realize that we all have different opinions and different expectations. The long drive into the place is beautiful. It's off the beaten path and you're among an orchard of Macadamia Nut trees. When we arrived, we were taken back by the amazing waterfall. I noticed on the site that many... More

If you're looking for a relaxing time immersed in nature in Hawaii, come to this Inn. From the time you leave the grungy town of Hilo, you rise over 4 miles of pristine orchard on a charming one-lane country road (we had to stop for a stray cow in the road). You're relaxed by the time you arrive. The property... More

It's a bit of a trek out from Hilo (though feels shorter going back if that helps any when you're thinking it takes forever). Stayed in the original building. Room is fine with nice furniture. The falls themselves are great. As nice as ones you end up paying to visit at other spots near Hilo. Only there one night and... More
