The property is a dream of Hawaii come true, starting with the short drive from Hilo through macadamia orchards on paved road. The Inn has three asian style buildings, lovely, but the real prize is down the trail to the waterfall and pond, a private paradise. We had it to ourselves and swam in the cool water. The Inn is... After managing a complicated route on our GPS, we traveled several miles through macadamian nut orchards to come across this isolated inn, by the river next to a significant waterfall. Everything about this inn was wonderful. The rooms are not big, but one can have a lanai and there is a sitting room and dining room. The interior design is... More

This Bed and Breakfast is secluded on a ridge above Hilo. It has access to a beautiful waterfalls and garden area. The service was outstanding. We enjoyed out short stay, wish we had more time at the B&B.

We stayed in the Pagoda Guest House for 3 nights. The Inn is located about 4 miles down a mostly single lane paved private road that winds through orchards of Macadamia Nut trees. Our GPS found it without a problem, or follow the signs. The road is well marked. Check in is a breeze. Your name is will be listed... More

I love this place...stunning setting, comfortable rooms, nice staff, delicious breakfasts, great walking paths to waterfall, close to Hilo. It's a four-star property to me -- taking all these things into account. I would give it 5-stars...if they had a stocked bar for sitting out at night for having a drink by the falls (it's BYOB and there is a... More

We liked the relaxed feel of the place, also liked that it was a bit out of town. Peaceful setting, so different than being in Hilo only about 15 minutes away. The building the room was in was nice, the room we had was nice. At first I was not thrilled that we did not have AC but shortly after... More

We loved it here! Close to downtown Hilo, yet located with hiking trails, a waterfall and swimming pond and amazing stands of bamboo! Lenny is a wonderful host! The breakfast was macademia (grown there) waffles with eggs and fruit and Hawaiian coffee! Totally enjoyed the relaxing pace and friendly management. We will definitely visit again

The inn and its surroundings are a treasure. A waterfall, pond, bamboo garden, nighttime frogs, two great dogs, macadamia groves, breakfast, WiFi, (no TV), computer to print boarding passes - the place is simply perfect. Leave shoes at the door. Yoga mats are in a basket near the kitchen.

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at the Inn and couldn't have asked for a more romantic location. The staff, facilities, breakfast, trails, conversation with other guests and surroundings were top-notch. We will certainly try to go again and would recommend this retreat to anyone looking for refreshment, comfort and the ideal get-away location.
