I found The Inn at Kulaniapia Falls on an internet search. It far exceeded the expectations I had from their website alone. The property is like a secret jewel, minutes from Hilo yet secluded from the world. We stayed in the King Kamehameha room and had a magnificent view of the falls. The room is small but cozy. Most our... More

We recently stayed at the Inn. Our initial impression was awe inspiring beauty, both the location and the splendid architecture. To our disappointment this impression didn't last; my wife took a shower and noted the moldy shower curtains, the hazardously slippery bath mat she almost fell on, and crucially to the more prude the fact that the 1x1 metre (3x3")... Recent reviewers have summed it up well. Amazing location, laid back atmosphere, comfortable and welcoming. We stayed in the Pagoda as its more private and therefore possibly less noisy than other room options. (Also i loved the idea of falling asleep on a specially-raised-to-window-height Superking size bed and seeing the waterfall, right there - from my pillow- not sure if... More

Beautiful. The setting is beyond comparison. This bed and breakfast has the most breath taking view I've ever seen from my breakfast table. The dining area looks out over a near 100 ft private waterfall, which causes the same sound that will lull you to sleep at night. The rooms are nice, nothing fantastic but well kept and with private bathrooms.... More

If you're looking to get away from it all, the Inn at Kulaniapia Falls is just what you need. About a 20 min drive from the city of Hilo, the inn rests delightfully far from the traffic and noise of the city in stunning natural environs overlooking a waterfall and pool suitable for swimming (if you don't mind a slightly... This was the nicest B&B we have ever stayed at. The waterfall seems loud, but after a while it lulls one to sleep. Both my wife and daughter and i claim it was one of the best sleeps we've had. Initially, a little tricky to find so we were happy our first trip up those four miles was during daylight.... More

What a great and scenic place. The views and setting are gorgeous, Rooms are not large, but very well done. Our housekeeper Lea, put on a great breakfast and was a valuable resource on things to see and do. A bit of a drive up out of town(about 15 minutes) but well worth it for the scenery and atmosphere. we... More

Making reservations over the phone with Len was easy and inviting, and this unique Inn is enchanting. Just barely on the outskirts of Hilo center, we were transported to this tropical delight with a tastefully decorated, clean, cozy room overlooking the beautiful waterfalls. Breakfast was deliciously prepared by our charming hostess; Jasmine, offering a wide array of breads, muffins, fruits,... More

We stayed four nights at the Inn and had high expectations coming here due to the good reviews at TA and the professional website. Unfortunately we found the Inn to be overpriced. The room was nicely decorated, but very small- just enough space to go around the bed. Breakfast was ok, but not much variety and quantities not enough for... More

A memorable overnight in Hilo while driving around the Big Island (and you really shouldn't drive the island in one day)! The falls are beautiful and our room overlooking the falls was sparkling clean and had a great lanai. The property is in need of some TLC (the hot tub was not functioning and the nighttime falls lighting clearly had... More
