We stayed here (2 adults 1 child age 10) for 2 nights. We wanted to stay in the Hilo area to visit the volcano. I am so glad we found this place. Stunning location though it did seem a bit daunting on the drive up as it is off the beaten track. The room was nice (we stayed in the... More

where we stayed, less so. we were in the pagoda house for two nights. cost of the room with tax was $325 a night. given where and what it is, a reasonable price. unit needs some work. various lights were burned out, about half of the ones in the kitchen.... refrigerator door hinges about ready to fail. i understand high... We were sure our GPS was wrong, but it wasn't! The Inn at 'K' falls is a wonderful oasis just a few minutes up in the mountains behind Hilo. Once you're there, you feel a million miles away from your day to day life. The 5 star review comes as a recognition for what the property is and what it... More

although the drive is a bit out of the way from Hilo, the property is set at a gorgeous waterfall under which you can swim. Lots of bugs here -- bring your spray. We stayed in the pagoda -- the attic was unusable (we thought we could use it to look at the falls). The doors did not work properly... More

The views of the falls and the privacy of the property were amazing. Best sunrise -stunning! The macadamia nut waffles for breakfast are a must. The rooms were quiet and cozy in the main house. The drive up to the property was so neat and the macadamia nut orchard was an added element besides the private water falls.

My husband and I had arrived on the Big Island on Tuesday 8/5/14 to begin our Honeymoon and by the following Saturday had to find another place due to Hurricane Iselle. We both felt incredibly lucky to have found the Inn at Kulaniapia Falls. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very gracious and accommodating. When we stepped into... More

Beautiful grounds, great falls and the finest hospitality. The Owners and staff definitely went out of their way to not only make it comfortable for me, but they extended the same generous hospitality to all. Highly recommend staying there. I'm going back.

This is the place to stay near Hilo! The scenery is spectacular, as most rooms have views of Kulaniapia Falls. There are trails to the verdant pool below the Falls, which allow inn residents a refreshing dip. The rooms are tastefully decorated in Oriental decor, and the breakfasts were delightful. Wifi access is spotty, however the views are a welcome... More

We stayed in the Harmony Building in the maile room. From the moment we arrived this place amazed me. Having read some reviews on getting there I was a bit sceptical, thinking we had an off roading experience to contend with I was delighted to find a tarmac road through a macadamia nut farm. This place has such a laid... More
