Although we only stayed for one night ( most regrettably ), we felt we were in the presence of something very rare, very unusual, and very remarkable. Len & Jane have turned their 22 acres in the middle of farmland, into a magical landscape of waterfalls, bamboo forests, & macadamian orchards. Truly an unparalleled experience in this crazy, fast moving,... More

My wife and I loved our stay. The sounds, smells and sights invoke a meditative state of mind. The rooms are intimate. The breakfast served in the morning in the lanai is superb. The staff are very friendly. If you are looking for a place to reconnect with yourself, with nature or with a loved one, this place cannot be... More

This is a quaint B&B in an extraordinarily beautiful spot, on 22 acres including several waterfalls and lush native greenery just next door (or part of?) the National Wildlife Refuge. There is a PAVED road (a bit wider than a golf cart trail) that takes you 3-4 miles off the main road. Do not let that you deter you --... More

Stayed at the Inn based on some very good reviews and we needed someplace close to Hilo. First, the grounds are really nice and hearing the waterfall all night is great. We selected the Pagoda House - the most expensive room so you would think it was the best. Unfortunately, my wife and I found it to be rather unclean.... More

We stayed a night each in the Pagoda House and the Pikake room. The Pagoda is a wonderful place and had everything you need for a stay. Full kitchen with kitchenware and they have lots of fruit, coffee, pancake batter, eggs, etc. to compliment what you bring. It's a beautiful house with lots of room and a great view of... More

Although a bit off the beaten path (approx 4 miles), this location is beautiful and amazing...the views, the waterfall, the peacefulness. Spacious guest rooms, tastefully decorated, very clean and well kept. Cannot say enough about the staff, they were all GREAT..very informative with tips on the Big Island, extremely friendly, just the nicest ladies we met on our entire trip... More

This location is just amazing! On TripAdvisor you see pictures of great locations and this just has to be one of them, but with a difference: this is not one of those huge plastic resort complexes with fake waterfalls - this is the genuine item. This is a three building inn, each on the rim of the gorge with a... More

We recently enjoyed an extended stay at the Inn and enjoyed our time there immensely. The room was pretty well appointed, quite clean, and about as close as you can get to a waterfall. The waterfall and coqui were excellent sleep aids, and the chance to explore a bamboo forest and swim in a waterfall (i.e the pool rating!) without... More

This is truly the "Old Hawaii Experience" so many people are looking for. Lush tropical surroundings with trails down to the river and through the bamboo and too many flowers and native plants to mention. A trail leads down to the waterfall and pond where you can swim surrounded by beauty and hear only the sound of the falling water.... More

The Inn was very quiet and peaceful. The Lehua room we stayed in had some issues with the shower, but otherwise was very nice. Due to our scheduling, we were unable to make the 8-9 am breakfast. The waterfall is the reason to stay. We did the hike twice - once before and after a night of rain and it... More
