Feeling of comfort and romance. I always worry about privacy, comfort, and extras at a B&B. Some are quaint and homey but not what my husband looks for in a vacation. Luana Inn is friendly but not intrusive. The location is great...near the activity of the Big Island and yet not the chaos of Kona. Breakfast is prepared with great... more

This is a peaceful B & B in close proximity to good snorkeling and can easily serve as a base for exploring the island. As noted by others the owners are attentive without being intrusive. The have helpful recommendations for area restaurants and activities. It is easy to recommend the Luana Inn. more

It was a beautiful, peaceful location. We were looking for some quiet paradise away from the bustling world, where we could unwind and reprogram ourselves. This was the perfect place for this to occur. The service was excellent. The owners helpful and not intrusive. Because we were there a lot we were in the room a lot. It was pleasant... more

We enjoyed our stay at Luana Inn, and recommend a stay there to those who want to get out and explore the Big Island or just stay at the Inn and relax. Erin and Ken were wonderful hosts. The Inn is in a quiet location, with a wonderful view of the coast south of Kona. The pool, hot-tub and BBQ... more

My husband and I had never been to the Big Island, so we chose to stay at a bed and breakfast during out visit, just to avoid the whole resort thing. Boy were we happy we did! We chose the Big Island for many reasons - mostly, the landscape and volcanoes, and number of state parks that we could enjoy... more

A few negatives that haven't been mentioned (but we generally agree with the other reviews)...We stayed for 2 days in August; our friends stayed in the room up the hill because it would be "quieter". They didn't mention their in-laws might be waking up in the middle of night to run the microwave and talk, or that the room has... more

My husband and I stayed at Luana Inn for 3 nights. We were impressed with how Ken and Erin, the young couple who owns the inn, pay so much attention and care for details that make the stay at Luana special. From beach towels and tatami pads in the room, to the folder of detailed restaurant reviews, to the internal... more

With over 100 reviews already saying how great this place is, its not obvious what more there is to add. The location is absolutely beautiful, overlooking the bay with easy access to snorkelling, dolphins, etc.. The amenities are fabulous - beautiful pool and hot tub with bay view (and amusing pool cleaning robot), bbqs for you to use, games room,... more
