Aptly chosen name for a great relaxing getaway. The innkeepers (Ken and Erin) work passionately to make their guests feel rested and welcome. We stayed in the Moana room, which has a great view of the garden and ocean. There were amazing birds on the property , the rooms were very clean and open (they just renovated), and the breakfast... more

My husband and I spend 4 nights and 5 days at Luana Inn. we have read all messages on tripadvisor and knew that Luana Inn is a very good pick, but it was well and truly above our expectations... this was our first ever b&b stop over and it was perfect in every way... just take your time and read... more

We just spent 5 nights at the Luana Inn, and it was the perfect spot for a quiet and beautiful getaway. The location was far away from the super-touristy strips, and yet amazingly close to some of the best snorkeling ever. The owners are a lovely couple who are very thoughtful and attentive; they have such a wonderful approach to... more

This was our second stay in as many years at the Luana Inn and we once again had a wonderful time. Erin and Ken are wonderful hosts and make you feel like family during your stay. The rooms are clean and spacious - we stayed in the Alaula Suite this year - and the setting is beautiful. The views of... more

Luana Inn was just what we expected: a beautiful location with a stunning view. We found the rooms to be simple and clean. The bed was very comfortable! And the porch and view was oh so relaxing. Not to mention being poolside with the spectacular sunset views. The breakfasts were great! Always varied, healthy and tasty. Erin's homemade granola (of... more

All the other reviews pretty much sum up how wonderful the Luana Inn is. I've stayed at many B&Bs over the years and none have been as relaxed and enjoyable as Luana. All of the rooms are nice (we got a chance to see them all), very private and spacious. Simply and tastefully decorated. The yard overlooks the ocean, unobstructed,... more

This Inn is just lovely - it sits on the side of a hill; less than a mile from the water! We had the pleasure of staying here for 5 nights, Feb 16-21. The room was very adequate with a comfy queen bed, television/vcr, fully equipped kitchenette, large bathroom, air conditioning, and large windows/sliding glass doors that overlooked the pool/spa... more

My wife and I stayed in Hawaii for 2 weeks at 5 different hotels. All were great, but, Luana Inn was the highlight of the trip.5 days on the Big Island was not long enough to see everything, and the Inn was so pleasant I wish I had more time to just hang around the room and the pool. The other reviews... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Luana Inn. It is beautiful, well-maintained, and sits on a hillside over-looking the Kealakekua Bay marine sanctuary. In addition to being an incredible snorkeling location and dolphin habitat, Kealakekua Bay has an interesting history as it is where Captain Cook met his untimely end. We loved the simple, modern style of the Inn.... more

It is easy to see why The Luana Inn receives so many "Excellent " ratings. It's got the right combination of everything you're looking for in a B&B. Our large room overlooked Kealakekua Bay, with an expansive view. Possibly the best hotel bed I have ever slept on, with quality pillows to boot. Our hosts Ken and Erin gave just... more
