My wife and I stayed here for three nights while on the big island. Ken and Erin were extremely welcoming and by the time we left we felt like we'd made some new friends. We stayed in the Moana room, which I believe is one of the biggest. It has a great ocean view and feels very seperated from the... more

Immaculate, welcoming, serene, stunning, relaxing, quiet, natural and down to earth, fantastic breakfasts, and environmentally sensitive. Ken and Erin have created paradise...a destination in itself. You will want to stay forever. more

Ken and Erin were charming hosts, and we enjoyed beautiful breakfasts each day we were there. Their location is perfect- walking distance to the beach, a short paddle to the best snorkelling we found on the 3 hawaiian islands we visited, at Captain Cook's monument. Unbroken views over the bay, and there is the unusual situation of it being in... more

This is the 3rd time that we have stayed at the Luana Inn in Captain Cook and Erin and Ken never disappoint. The rooms are clean and very spacious, the location is perfect for the best snorkling on the island (Captain Cook monument and Two Step are very close by), and the service is outstanding! We have been able to... more

We stayed in the Moana room which is large and very comfortable. The kitchen area had all the necessary utensils, crockery, glassware, and cleaning materials. There was a coffee maker, fridge and microwave also provided along with free wi-fi. There is a spacious bathroom and the room wais excellently maintained and very clean. Air conditioning is installed though we had... more

This is one of the best places I've ever stayed. The breakfasts were over the top and the proprietors were very accomodating. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and whenI wasn't working I enjoyed my leisure time. The view was spectacular and the other guests were very interesting. Other hotels, etc., will have a hard time meeting the high quality of... more

Ken & Erin offer a wonderful B&B that exceeded our expectations. The Inn is charmingly decorated with an exceptional view of the ocean. We choose the Mahina room which overlooks the pool and hot tub with a backdrop of the Kealakekua Bay. The Inn is very clean with a peaceful atmosphere. Our hosts were not intrusive in our daily activities... more

We loved our 4 nights at the Luana Inn. Ken and Erin are awesome; friendly people who really care about their guests. They accomodated a couple of requests for the day we were leaving that many b & b's wouldn't have considered. Rooms are clean and comfortable (good beds!), and having a kitchenette and the use of a gas grill... more

Ken & Erin are a friendly, young couple who run the inn. They ask for an arrival time to great you as there is no formal "registration area" and no distinct place to park. The inn is very nice and very clean. We stayed in the Mahina room which is just off the main house (still connected) and our view... more

My wife and I had a great time at the Luana Inn over the holidays. This is a really quiet place, with awesome views and better sunsets. A total getaway, you are still close to restaurants and the beach. Also, the entire place has wireless internet (free!), so you can let everyone know how good of a time you are... more
