I live on this island but, when I do the circle-tour with visiting friends and family, I stay at Viviane's Belle Vue. Why? Because of: the large suite of rooms, fully outfitted kitchen and nearby supermarket, lovely garden with benches overlooking the 'Place of Refuge' bay, only 20 minutes to the craziness of Kailua-Kona with its resorts and discount shopping,... more

From the moment we initially inquired about Belle Vue, we were treated royally by the gracious hostess. Our arrival late on a rainy night was greeted by Viviane with a smile and an umbrella. We were escorted to our gorgeous, spacious suite, where we found homemade breads and fruit grown on the property. Every detail was attended to, from fresh... more

If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful vacation rental, this is the place to stay. We spent 13 nights in Kona, with a beautiful view of Kealakekua Bay and the Kona coast and 3 nights in Waimea with a beautiful view of the mountains/ocean and Mauna Kea. Both vacation rentals are lovely. They are spacious, comfortable, clean and have... more

We stayed at Belle Vue Kona for 5 nights celebrating new year's eve in close by Kona. The b&b is neatly located overlooking the bay and a tropic garden. Our room was nice and well equipped with a little kitchenette and a big fridge. We prepared our breakfast and dinner most of the time by ourselves since close by is... more

Belle Vue has the most wonderful views over the coast around 1500 feet below. It has a fabulous veranda, framed by flowers, where you can have breakfast and watch the colourful Hawaiian birds. Inside, the space is mostly open plan. The bed is comfortable. There is a large and noisy fridge in the kitchen area, which we unplugged at night.... more

First of all, I would like to set the context for the review. You rent an apartment for self-service, and the house with the apartment is located in Captain Cook, which is about 30 minutes south of Kailua-Kona on Big Island, Hawaii. We were very pleased with the accommodation, where we mean a family with two kids (14 and 6... more

My husband, three kids (aged 14-22) and I stayed in the Rose Garden Suite (with the extra room) for 5 nights. This was our favorite accommodation on the Big Island. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return. Some highlights Location: Belle Vue Kona is a short drive from two of the best snorkeling locales on the Big Island... more

This was an amazing gem tucked away in the quiet town of Captain Cook. It is far enough away from Kona to be a quiet get away, but not so far that you can't get to the waterfront action if you'd like. Our hostess Vivianne was incredibly warm and inviting and we really felt at ease at once. We stayed... more

BEAUTIFUL AND PEACEFUL Vacation for us is seeking peaceful refuge. Merci, Viviane – we found it at Belle Vue! Tranquil surroundings, beautiful view with abundant flowers, airy well kept rooms, and expert directions to the hurly-burly of downtown Kona, or some of the best beaches in the world. We'll be back! more
