Bob and Mary happily include their guests into the family, sharing generous breakfast, stories and helpful hints to make the most out of your stay on the outstanding lanai upstairs. The rooms are comfortable and well decorated. Beach gear like umbrellas, towels, bodyboards are available for the guests. Conveniently located to the top snorkel and sunset spots south of Kona. more

My wife & I were looking for a quiet B & B that served an actual breakfast & had two beds & a private bath. This was just the ticket. Our breakfasts made & served by Mary were "wonderful" and our morning conversations with Bob was helpful in directing us to the best eateries as well as places to visit.... more

My partner and I just returned from a 2 week trip to Hawaii, four days of which we spent at Hale Ho'ola and couldn't be happier with our experience. In short - Mary and Bob are fantastic! Both gave us some great activity suggestions, Mary provided some of the best breakfast we had throughout our stay, and Bob provided some... more

I have just concluded a return visit to Hale Ho'ola. My second experience has been a happy reunion with Bob and Mary and experiencing the delights of their hospitality, local knowledge, tranquility and Mary's luscious breakfasts. I was delighted to see again the well maintained tropical gardens. My suite was spotless and all amenities up to my expectations, especially the... more

When we went to pay it was double the amount that was quoted to us over the phone and even the price stated on the their web site. After viewing the '' very very small '' room ( not a suite ) a very small Lanai with a small and very old unplugged fridge. THE WHOLE PLACE IS VERY DIRTY.... more

The guest changed reservation from one week to the next. We were happy to do this. The price quoted was for 2 nights & it was paid without comment. They were here for 30 minutes & asked for their money back. We gave them 100% refund (no deposit held) They said they had a medical condition which required air conditioning...

My husband and I had a delightful three days at Hale-Hoola Inn enjoying quiet nights, beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean, lovely breakfasts and the most friendly inn keepers I've ever met. The directions to the inn were clear and easy to follow, rooms were very clean and each has it's own private bath and balcony as well as a... more

We came for a relaxing time in Big Island. This place fit the bill perfectly. Bob and Mary warmly welcomed us to their beautiful, home. The house, surrounded by fruit trees, is a unique design - Mary's delicious breakfast is served on their deck overlooking National Trust land. Gecko's will keep you company as you eat. Bob is a story... more

Bob and Mary were delightful! Clean, quiet and centrally located with access to some key points on the island. Bob had a number of great insider tips on exploring the treasure spots this cool island has to offer. The morning breakfast features true Kona coffee and plantation treats. A really nice touch was having complimentary access to beach equipment for... more

We were thrilled to join Bob and Mary for their delicious and beautiful breakfasts and had a very comfortable "suite" all to ourselves. They went out of their way to give us great sightseeing tips (and shopping tips too!) and to provide everything you could possibly need from refridgerator and microwave to beach towels and umbrellas. We felt more like... more

I arrived on the West side of the island with no accommodations booked. I wanted to avoid the congestion of Kailua-Kona, so opted for Captain Cook. I called around 5pm and was told there was a room available. Bob and Mary could not have been more gracious hosts. They had me in for tea one night and I felt as... more
