This was our best rental on a 3 week trip to Hawaii. We stayed in the "Lookout". The apartment has a living room/kitchen, bedroom (both with ocean views) and a nice bathroom. The bed is large and extremely comfortable. The view from the Lookout is fantastic - great sunsets. The property is beautiful and colourful with lots of flowers, fruits... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in early October. Tina and Keri were very welcoming. We were in the lower suite which is very funky and spread out. The bed was the very best we have had at any hotel, condo or B & B. Tina served up her fabulous large muffins and fruit right from their... More

We stayed for a week at the South Kona Hideaway. It was a dream! Quiet in the mornings/evenings, beautiful views. The rental was very spacious for the two of us, with a nice balcony and comfortable bed. The managers were extremely friendly, and we got fresh fruit and homemade baked goods every day. Anything we needed, they were always there... More

My wife and I have stayed at SKH and it is a perfect place for relaxation, going to beaches, seeing the big island without being caught up in the hubbub of Kailua itself. Close enough to Kailua, airport, and shopping but out in the country enough to feel relaxed and away from the congestion. A number of great beaches are... More

First of all, the location, property and hosts, Tina & Keri, reflect "the true spirit of Aloha" on the Big Island. Away from all the touristy hustle & bustle of Kailua-Kona, but super conveniently just off Rte 11(Belt Road) which will take you anywhere you want to go! It only took me 1.5 hours to drive to either Hawi, up... More

SKH is the perfect establishment. The two apartment units are immaculate in appropriately lush surroundings. Staying in the South Kona district is preferable to the North district with its resorts, condos and shopping centers. The South is authentic and transporting; it's where the locals live. Shops and cafes are family operated except for one McDonalds. Highly, highly recommended.

The suite is incredibly comfortable -- more like a posh apartment than a B & B! We met Tina, and she was very welcoming. Unfortunately, our schedule allowed us only one night there! (We did find the parking nerve-racking, though. You back out directly onto a road with limited visibility. There isn't much traffic on that road, but when the... More

For the past two consecutive years my wife and I have travelled to South Kona Hideaway (SKH) during December and early January. We really love this location and are already planning when we can return again! The Island is beautiful and made more so by having a “home” to return to after a day of exploring or just staying “home”... More

Owners helped us find small, local beaches for relaxing and snorkeling. L & L restaurant, night snorkeling with the mantas, in-room massage by Derek. Stay away from the tourist traps, and stay here. Pick up avacados off the ground, amazing tropical flowers. Enjoy sunsets on private balcony. Located below the vog, somthe ocean is visable from the deck, unobstructed views.... More

We found a jewel in South Kona Hideaway, on the big Island of HAWAII. It's the whole package! A view that will take your breath away every time you watch the sun set or look out at the lush landscape surrounding your room. The rooms are large, comfortable and oh so clean with a separate living room and kitchen area... More
