Eaton's is one of the, if not THE oldest dude ranches in the country. I had heard of it for years. I had occasion to stay there late August-early Sept. If you want to ride horses, and be treated exceptionally well by working wranglers, this is for you. It is NOT a luxury accommodation, but more than adequate to experience... More

After spending a few days in Sheridan, Wy at a wedding, our family, ages 64-4 years old spent 3 nights at Eaton's Ranch. I think it was a "best vacation" ever by all of us. Relaxing whether you like to ride horses or not. My father went there in the 1930s so we wanted to see what it was all... More

Where do I start. Took my 13 year old daughter here for a get away. We had the time of our lives! The staff was incredible! They all made us feel like we have known them our whole lives! The food was amazing and produce very fresh! The horses were picked perfectly for our riding experience levels! The area with... More

My husband and I were looking for a unique getaway without the kids. We found it with Eatons' Ranch. Nothing fancy, but a great time. Here, it's all about the riding. We're both beginning riders, so it was nice to be able to get a wrangler to ourselves for every ride. We had a terrific time and met a lot... More

I heard about the ranch from a family friend who has been going since birth, and their great grandfather since early 1900. My wife and I went on our honey moon in1993 and we have been back 2012, 2013 and I am going x2 in 2014. simply the best.

This was my third visit to Eaton's Ranch. Each time I have stayed in a different cabin and all three were very different but each very comfy. The oldest dude ranch in the country (maybe the world?) offers a unique riding experience. You can ride with a wrangler or choose to ride out on your own. The Big Horn Mountain... More

Two weeks on the road, an amazing family road trip, and the highlight was an easy pick for all - Our time at Eaton's Ranch! We chose Eaton's primarily because of their flexible arrival/departure policy (most other ranches have strict a/d days and minimum stays), and also because they were about halfway between Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone - We could... More

We took our young son to Eaton's Ranch for a week long trip that turned out to be the trip of a lifetime. Eaton's is not your typical "City Slickers" faux cowboy ranch. It is one of the oldest ranches in the country, with beautiful cabins and facilities stretching along a mountain stream, many buildings dating to the late 19th... More

My husband and I stayed for 4 days at eaton ranch. We are in our early 70's and still had a great time on the horses. The food was plentiful and the cabin was very relaxing and reminded us of the old west. The walk to and f rom the stables and dining area I have to say was a... More

Honestly, anything you read about Eatons' Ranch is probably true. The staff is mainly young college students, sometimes weary of dudes, the food is plain old cowboy fare, the cabins are sparse but clean, no one is running around making sure you're having the best time of your life, but it is one of our family's favorite places on earth,...
