This hostel is right at the base of the Aerial Tram in Teton Village. Each room is private--by that I mean you are not sleeping with strangers like in some hostels. The rooms are not luxurious, but we found ours to be clean. There was a leak of some sort in the bathroom, as I recall. We took 2 rooms... more

The really bad: - My sheets were DIRTY and the staff called me delusional! Obviously someone had slept in the bed before, there were stains and pubes. Since I found this out at midnight I decided to get my sleeping bag out of the car and sleep in that instead. The next morning I obviously told the young, slightly grumpy... more

I came to Jackson ready to ski but not knowing anything about the area I had a lot of questions. The staff at The Hostel were very patient and had the answers I needed...from where to ski, where to eat, and where to go and see a good band. The housekeeping staff made sure my room was cleaned everyday and... more

On a recommendation from an elderly woman we booked a night while passing through the Grand Tetons. Other than the very friendly guy at the desk this place was utterly discraceful! While the location was nice, the room was dark, dingy, and depressing. For $100 dollars I didn't expect to hear every sound from the connecting rooms. The shower ceiling... more

Because of some of the reviews, I was somewhat hesitant to book a room at the Hostel X (now called simply The Hostel) but decided it was worth a try. Now, I would advise that if you can spend a little extra, don't stay here. My husband and I stayed here for two nights. Once at the beginning of our... more

Hostel X provides a cheap base for exploring the southern part of the Grand Teton National Park. Staff are friendly. As the hostel is a wooden construction it is very noisy. There is a lovely playroom for small children (although the owners are considering transforming it to a bunk room). The rooms are simple, very simple but clean and fairly... more

rooms are dank and dirty, walls thin, beds uncomfortable. ifyou are desperate for a place to crash after a ski day this might be an option but plan on spending as little time as possible in the room. motel 6 in town is same price and you get a clean room with cable tv and much more space. more

The picture online showed the HostelX as a secluded hotel with a mountaineous background. In fact, the hotel is surrounded by highrises and you can hardly see the nearby mountains. The picture must have been taken 3 or 4 decades ago. The so-called king bed was twin beds in a frame with each twin having its own sheets. The spread... more
