It used to be that the Hostel was the place to stay if you were serious about skiing. While the interior decorations still reflect its rich ski history, raw extreme sport has been replaced with corporate sophistication. The rad, ski-bum vibe that once defined this place has been erased.

I regret that you feel that we are being arbitrary when we applied our cancellation policy exactly as stated, which you did accept when you booked online through thehostel.us. Arbitrary would have been to do the exact opposite: waiving the cancellation policy. While we do take care of "our own", including Hostel X era employees like Dave "The Wave" and... More

This was for us the only affordable location in Teton Village. It's a hostel, so that is what you should expect, but it's a great place. The visitors are a mix of backpackers and families-with-young kids, for which this place is perfect. The game room in the basement is awesome for the young ones and we loved the freedom for... More

Good location, clean; stayed in 4 bed female room. Sink in room along with door to bathroom, so it is very easy to disturb fellow room residents. I would suggest paying directly through hostel website and not a third party such as HostelWorld, etc. A friend and I had booked one night each through HostelWorld. I was charged $11.60 upfront... We looked at almost every single hotel near the town of Jackson and they were all too expensive. Luckily, someone told us about this hostel and we had an excellent experience. The staff were great and accommodated all our needs. It is a bit far from the town of Jackson, but in a good area. The Bridger Gondola is a... More

The Hostel seemed to be the cheapest option in the Jackson Hole area. It's in Teton Village, which is about a 10 min drive from Jackson City center with a bus running between them about every hour for $3. We stayed there in the summer in a private quad room for ~120 a night. It's what you would expect from... More

Came to Jackson on a budget and found this place. It a hostel in spirit but because it was a lodge before it has that lodgey/hotely feel to it. Its 4 stories high (no elevator). The lobby is decent as well as the common area.. We took a private room which is most likely the norm as it is the... More

Clean, friendly (the from desk staff could NOT be MORE patient and helpful), extremely practical (kitchen, laundry, excellent internet connection, free parking) and EXCELLENT location. The only down point is that the place is so friendly and informal that people tend to forget where they are: running on wooden balconies or screaming...IN A HOTEL where 80% of the guests stay... Yes, it is noisy. If that bothers you and earplugs or headphones do not work for you, you will be unhappy. And, yes, $45+/night for a cramped 4 bed shared room is better said to be a "moderate" price for hostel living. Lastly, for those buying and fixing their own food another caveat, the Hostel does not have the usual... More

This is a hostel in spirit. They do have some hostel rooms but we stayed in a private room. But they have all the amenities you would expect from a common space at a hostel. The building is loud just because of the construction with thin walls and wood plank walkways. As long as you aren't looking for silence it... More

When we travel I always look far a facility like this one. They usually arent available in trendy touristy places like Jackson Hole so I consider this a unique find. They have a game room with pool table, a book exchange library, a common kitchen, and laundry room. All things that we desperately needed after 4 days of back country... More
