We spent Christmas in Jackson Hole, as part of a two-week, four-resort snowboarding trip through the US and Canada. We had to keep an eye on our budget, and chose to stay four nights at the Hostel. I was not expecting much at all, but I was pleasantly surprised when we got there. We had a king-size room with our... More

Okay, why the low rating well the room I stayed in was a dump. It's actually located in the complex that makes up the Jackson hole ski resort. This was during a summer visit to Grand teton national park and this was about the lowest priced lodging closeby and it was still on the high side. To give you an... More

The first thing that really bothered me is when I arrived after 10 and was told that the kitchen was closed and I couldn't make my dinner. The front desk guy did bring me a plate and silverware on request but I had to throw out the fish that I'd just bought. When 11:00 PM hit, I was told that... More

I was traveling alone and it was fun to stay somewhere that was more communal and rustic. My private king room was basic (no tv, phone, clock) but clean, and the staff was helpful. There was a small table, night stand, hooks on the wall with a few hangers, and a storage chest that I put my suit case up... More

We stayed there because it was the only place we could afford--this is definitely a place for the very rich. But having stayed in a number of IH hostels that were a pleasure, I expected more than this place offers. The rooms are dark, the windows open onto a wall. The "kitchen" is two hot plates in the laundry room,... More

...one needs to take account of previous review comments and also the name of the place. This is a 'hostel', not an hotel. And yes, it is of wooden construction and does creak a lot. As the man who checked us in said, '"You'll be okay, because you are on the top floor." He was right on that score. We... More

Just because this was the only place to overnight in the Jackson Hole area, that was under $150 doesn't mean you should stay here...the online images and such were seemingly acceptable. REALITY was something far less. Old wooden structure, exposed 2"x6" tongue 'n groove flooring, rough-cut plywood walls, glaring naked CFL's for minimalist lighting, and massive 3'x10' bath/toilet area/phone booth... More

Just stayed at the Hostel, Teton Village. Great setting at the foot of the Teton Mountains. Views were great. The price was very good. Room size was small. Didn't sleep the first night because people were walking around above us on the third floor all night. The floors outside and above creaked with every footstep. The second night turned a... More

All hotels are very high in Jackson Hole & around Yellowstone. We chose this one because of the price. The old saying, "You get what you pay for" wasn't true here. We did Not get what we paid for. Very small room, but that would have been ok. We only needed a place to sleep, change clothes, bathe, etc. But... More

Initially hesitant to stay at a "hostel," leaving today after a four night stay absolutely hooked for future Teton visits. Greg and team are extremely knowledgeable of the area and fantastic hosts! Really all you need as in Jackson Hole/Teton Village you just need a place to shower and sleep between hikes/parks/runs/etc. We'll definitely be back!
