We stayed in the two-level, two bedroom condo for $230 a night, and it was just okay. It features a bedroom with a queen bed downstairs, a bedroom upstairs with a king bed, and two bathrooms. Unfortunately, overall it was not very clean or well maintained with the exception of the bathrooms which were clean and spacious. There was a... More

Several years ago, this was the place to stay in Saratoga for the budget conscience traveler. However, this year, some of the rooms (I have knowledge of 4) were in need of some repairs. Shower curtains about to fall off the wall, paint chipping, poor vacuum practices, stained linens and shower curtains, etc. This lead me to question the overall... More

The "riviera" or river view was piles of sandbags on the bank of a scrubby, brush lined river. Perhaps this place is a valiant attempt to update and modernize a very, very old dilapidated structure, but it doesn't quite make it. Our room was on the lower level, very small and dark. The bathroom looked like it was from the... More

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. There is no cable or satellite so forget watching tv. The worst part of the experience were the rude guests. Both nights we were there, the people in the next room came in around midnight after having obviously been our partying. They had younger kids with them both times (not sure what... More

The Rivera was “host” to many of the party of a wedding. They did not accommodate us all together, the front desk had an I don’t care attitude. The rooms were ok, not very clean, but had some charm as the river was right behind. Some of the guests arrived after hours and their key was taped to the door... More

I used to stay at the Inn/Resort, but I can't justify to my work why they need to pay double what the Riviera charges, so stayed at the Riviera for the first time. Very good basic motel, clean and compared to the Inn, larger and brighter rooms with similarly small bathtubs. Opening up to the river was a good design... More

My husband and I stayed at another hotel in Saratoga, and were not happy. We checked into The Riviera, hoping for a better experience--Wow! We had a large, quiet room, complete with microwave and fridge, coffee and usual comfort items. We asked for a room by the river, and they got us as close as they could---nice staff, great location,... More

We arrived on Friday afternoon for a two night stay and our room was ready. We stayed the night and when we came back on Saturday afternoon our room was not made up. The only amenity-in room cofffee was not replaced. This is the most I've paid for a room and the worst service. We met friends Saturday night and... More

I want to be very fair here. The reception staff were pleasant & helpful. The room was large though a bit dark & the beds were fantastic (pillows a bit less so). We are not fans of wash basins in the room & the bath/shower room was tiny. The toilet seat was coated in strange, bubbly paint which was very... More

We were pleasantly surprised with Riviera Lodge. Melina and Cassandra were friendly and welcoming. We drove over 400 miles the day we arrived for a one night stay. Walking to our 2nd story room was doable for these out-of-shape octegenarians. The bed was so comfortable you just sank into it. The pillows soft. It all made for a very comfortable... More
