this is a historic hotel with many original features, whilst perhaps this might be viewed by some as not quite up to modern standards the accommodation is clean and comfortable - and indeed very reasonable priced and there is a great bar available as well as a restaurant whose excellent reputation attracts diners from vast distances - the location is... more

We traveled from Washington to Missouri by car staying in historic hotels and bed and breakfasts all the way and this was one of the very best! The whole town of Saratoga feels like a movie western and staying in this hotel confirms it. It was at this point in the trip that our children became cowboys complete with cowboy... more

Arrived Saturday around 4.30pm and were checked in by the barmaid at Reception which was in tthe pool room next to the bar.. Paid up front with credit card and never saw another member of staff again - even on departure on the Monday morning! The sign on the hotel door said the hotel was closed for business Sunday and... more

Hotel Wolf is a unique restored historic hotel. As an older property, it had some interesting things that you don't usually see, such as an exit sign mounted above the hall window that looked over the roof (well yes, that would work as an exit...). But moving past that, it felt like you had stepped back into time as you... more

Hotel is over 100 years old--all rooms have been updated with new bathrooms and TVs (no phones) and decorated in Victorian style with some antiques, ceiling fans, and attractive bed coverings. Bed was a little too soft for real comfort, but liked everything else including the fragrant soap provided. No other amenities so bring your own shampoo, etc. It did... more

After reading about the Wolf on Trip Adivsor we stopped in Saratoga after a harrowing trip over the snow covered pass aptly named the Snowy Mountain Pass (130). It's a beautiful drive crossing a pass at 11,000', but we got caught in an early season storm. The switchback mountain road was covered with snow and ice. Although we planned to... more

We were traveling through Wyoming having gone to a family reunion in Sheridan. We spent one night at the old Hotel Wolf and it was a charming event. We stayed on the top floor in Room 20. It had two really comfortable queen-sized beds and an adjoining room with a roll-out couch; a bathroom with shower. I really felt like... more

We were touring through Wyoming and chose this hotel based on the previous positive review-so glad we did! The hotel has plenty of character and is an ideal location from which to amble around the local stores which are full of interesting goods. The bar in the hotel is the perfect place in which to enjoy a drink in the... more
