We stayed in the en route from Jackson Wyoming to Avon Colorado and estimated that the hotel was roughly half distance between the two. As a result the hotel was one of convenience rather than choice but if it had been choice then for the area there can't be much better value for money. The downside is that the hotel... more

I booked a room at the Wingate in order to avoid Super 8 and similar "low-budget" motels with noisy guests. I was prepared to pay a lot more simply to get a good night's sleep on a cross-country drive.. Oh well. The hotel is within spitting distance of I-80. The traffic noise roared all night... no chance of sleeping soundly.... more

We loved the Wingate. We got a very reasonable price. Our room was so large and we loved the pool and exercise room. Rock Springs itself has nothing to do, but the hotel entertained us. The breakfast was great. Just a very pretty place. more

What can I say? We made a reservation over the phone to a clerk who didn't seem to know what she was doing trying to reserve a room. When we called back several weeks later to make sure that the reservation was properly recorded they couldn't even find it. Then they couldn't even make a new one. On the third... more

We arrived about 10pm after a long exhausting drive from Yellowstone and the friendly desk clerk quickly checked us into our room. The room was spacious, exceptionally CLEAN, with a very comfortable bed and sitting area. The expanded complimentary breakfast included a delicious omelett, bacon and sausage in addition to the standard breakfast choices and was the best we had... more

I found this hotel to be very clean, very quiet, and very comfortable. The room was huge and spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the internet access more reliable than other hotels I've stayed in recently. I stayed on a road trip from Michigan to Oregon, following the Oregon Trail. I was not a fan of Rock Springs, in... more

The people at the front desk did not make you glad that you were checking in. They were unhelpful about any questions that we asked i.e. what time was breakfast and where to eat dinner in the area. The halls and elevators were very dirty. The feeling you got was that it was very poorly run. We would never stay... more

We stayed at this property while on an extended western trip. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. We would stay here again. The nearby Applebee's was pleasant for dinner. more

This is a nice new hotel on a hill outside the main town area. There is an old apartment building in front, but it is to be replaced with a Candlewood Suites during the next year per a front desk person at the Wingate. Fitness center had a very good treadmill. Our room was large with a micro, refer, easy... more
