We were on a cross country trip and looking for an inexpensive, clean and nice place to stay. Thus hotel met all those goals. We arrived late and the lady running it was still kind and courteous. The owner apparently likes western art and has plenty of it on display. Would definitely stay again.

Not only did Mike hold our reservation on my word, when we stayed over and left something precious and irreplaceable in our room at checkout it was safeguarded & held for us till we could return to retrieve it. As far as I am concerned, the Key Motel and its people are all first class. Everything that matters is already... More

The front desk gal was nice, the room we stayed in was fine. they are remodeling, so not all of the motel is open. We did find it weird that when we went to check out, there was no clerk on duty but had no problems. I did accidently take the key with me and mailed it back when I... More

They were super helpful and the place is clean, decent, and great value. I'd definitely stay again. It's definitely not fancy, but I don't need fancy to sleep well. The bed was good too. They've been working hard to update it and continue to make it better.

I'm not sure why the lodgings are priced so high in this little town on a lonely stretch of I-80, but this was the best value and had the best reviews, so I decided to stay here. I wasn't disappointed. It's an older motel but it's well maintained, very clean, and the room was comfortable and large. There is a... More

My husband and I were traveling back from Washington to Kansas and we had been on the road for over 12 hrs. and we couldn't drive much more. I started to call motels on the road and were told they were full. We drove into Rawlins and tried motels and were told they were full or only had smoking rooms... More

Older motel being renovated. Room furnishings were nice. Bathroom was a little rough, but serviceable. Walls are thin, so hope for quiet neighbors. I had a quiet night and got a good nights sleep. Fast food, mini-marts, and grocery store all within easy walking distance. Rate was reasonable for Rawlins. Friendly, helpful staff. No phones in rooms. I mention this... More

If you are passing through Rawlins, WY, and need a great place to lay your head the Key Motel is the place to stay. Undergoing renovation in stages, its owner Mike, who bought it 2 years ago, is creating a charming place that is a throwback to times when motels offered personal care for their guests. The room was very... More

Mike, the owner, is awesome. Thanks for holding the room for us. Clean room, comfortable bed, decent rates. The motel is showing it's age, and is very basic in it's amenities. Mike goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable though.
