We stayed in the economy room before a backpack trip but it as still clean and great value for the money. The sheets were soft. Cookies were promptly delivered to room. We are sad to see that it is for sale and hope the next owners keep it the same.

My husband and I make a trip to Pinedale every year, we thought we would stay somewhere differant.... well that it was!!! The cabin was dingy.. from the one outlit in the bedroom with extention cords running everywhere old outdated curtains worn out furniture, no outlit in the bathrrom no exhaust fan and a sink that drained very slow. My wife and I save our money every year to remodel another cabin/unit. As our repeat guests know and share with us they have been happy with the results. When we remodel we try to find a balance between updating for convenience (i.e. better placed outlets) and charm (i.e. furniture and fixtures that are not modern-sorry no granite countertops). We... Beautifully kept cabin with mini kitchen and a nice little porch out front. Landscaping was spectacular with flowers everywhere. Walking distance to dining options. Room felt a little small, but we may have just had too much luggage. Wifi signal was very weak. Service was great - staff walked us to our room and brought freshly baked cookies by in... More

Sorry I'm unable to give a great review for this property. We arrived late at night for our stay and were met by a helpful staff. Unfortunately, I guess our expectations for the "cabin" were too high. In fact, the little house we stayed in was not a cabin (at least not to our definition.) The lighting in the bathroom... More

We do really intend to meet the needs of each guests within the confines of running a historic property. It does amaze us when folks book our rooms online then complain that they are not cabins. Our cabins are priced higher as it is a unique experience. Our property is unique, each cabin/room is different than others. Some cabins/rooms have... More

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful gardens, clean rooms and cozy beds. We enjoyed our stays before and after we headed into the back-country for some amazing backpacking. Many places to eat and shop within easy walking distance. Motel is a bit of misnomer for these cute, authentic log cabins. Would definitely stay at the Log Cabin Motel again. Thanks Sofia... More

We stayed one night at The Log Cabin Motel in June of 2014 and found it to be delightful. Quiet, clean, comfortable beds, good location for walking wherever we wanted to go in town (Pinedale isn't very big to begin with). We will be traveling to this pretty little town two more times over the course of the next few... More

The Wakefields who run The Log Cabin Motel in Pinedale, WY, could not have done a finer job of making us welcome, providing very tired travelers with a comfortable, knotty-pine suite in the middle of the night. They made our honeymoon Yellowstone trip much better. These folks really bent over backwards, and we appreciate it. Rustic in a fine, '50's,... More

We stayed with another couple before and after our backpack to Titcomb Basin. Very relaxing, rustic, not fancy. Love the porches! Sofia and all of the staff are wonderful. We will definitely go back and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else!

Dear Sherrye, It's great to hear that all of you had a great stay after back-backing into the Winds. Being so central to all amenities, and being able to share a 2 room cabin with 2 couples is a great feature our historic Motel offers! Hope to see you again! More

Pretty Cabins, walking distance to town, we were traveling with our daughter and our big German shepard Lola. Forest and Sofia gave us our choice of 2 cabins they had left and were the best inkeepers. Sometimes its hard for us and very expensive when we take Lola but this nights stay was very affordable and they didnt mind having... More

Dear Tammi- it's very simple for us: without our guests we wouldn't be here....so giving you our best, our attention and our hearts is what we love to do and who we are. It's very sweet to hear that you "4" enjoyed the cabin, and had a restful stay before venturing off again. We surely will see you again....Sofia and... More
