At the risk of sounding like Gordon Ramsey from "Hotel Hell", you may want to consider booking elsewhere. The lodge is located about two miles from the main highway on a passable dirt road. However, the cabins are located uphill on poorly maintained "roads" that aren't suitable for many sedans. Our cabin (#2) was clean but the fly swatted came... More

Ate outside at the restaurant overlooking the quiet lake surrounded by tall pines. Stunning. The road to the restaurant I found harrowing, and I'm not not usually afraid of adventure. The food was hit or miss. They were out of a few things we wanted. Hamburger over-done. Salads were fine. Pulled pork quesadilla good. Kids had fancy chocolate milks that... More

There is something about Half Moon Lake Lodge that I can't really explain. Maybe it was meeting some of the friendliest people I have ever met or maybe it was the location, but this was by far one of the sweetest places I have been to. Whether you are just out for a drive or looking for a special place... More

My cousin & I recently visited Half Moon Lake Lodge. We were greeted friendly staff. Had some cold drinks & awesome food. The view of the lake from the lodge was beautiful. Would definitely recommend taking the short drive from Pinedale to check this place out! Next time we visit we plan on staying in some of their cozy little... More

I'm a busy professional, so when my wife suggested we take some time off and head to Half Moon Lake Lodge in Wyoming, I was all for it. We heard it was beautiful and it certainly was! The restaurant was so good, I wish we lived closer so I could frequent it. I don't normally write reviews, but had to... More

Pulled up the Trip Advisor website because I want to book my return trip to this lodge. There's nothing like escaping the heat and enjoying the great outdoors. The lake was so beautiful. We went for a boat ride. The view was breathtaking, especially in the fall when the leaves were red, orange and yellow. The bar was very inviting,... More

We enjoyed a pitcher cranberry orange mimosas on the deck overlooking the lake, went kayaking in the kayaks the had for rent, hiked the trail to the inlet, and came back to enjoy a wonderful meal at the lodge just before sunset. Everything about this place takes your breath away. We plan to come back every summer. More than once, if... More

If you are wanting a place to stay where the mountains take your breath away, this is your spot. The wind river range is unbeatable and HMLL is in the sweet spot. The restaurant serves delicious food. The saloon mixes drinks that keep you coming back for more. The cabins have just what you need for a rustic getaway. If... More

We were excited to stay at such a beautiful spot, lake, pines, gorgeous. But.....the room, although clean, had a horrible bed. We both tossed and turned and were up by 5 because the bed was so miserable. Headed down to dinner later and every dish we had was expensive and nasty! Won't be going back

My husband and I went to Half Moon Lake Lodge with another couple in October 2013, and it exceeded our expectations. We got an adjoining room with our friends, which was so convenient for evening card playing, etc. The bedding was comfy and the views amazing. A casual morning hike got our day off to a great start. And our... More
