Spent my summer in Pinedale, and I made my way out to Half Moon Lake Lodge quite often. Hard to resist drinks and steaks on such a beautiful lake. Great service every time! I've heard the cabins have amazing lake views. I'll be staying there next time I visit Pinedale.

We really enjoyed staying in cabin #2. The room was small but very quaint with log walls and a wonderful front deck overlooking a gorgeous lake surrounded by thick pine trees. We had a quiet relaxing time and were very happy.

What a beautiful setting for this remote location. Long drive but worth it. Went on Wednesday evening. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a beer and appetizers. Bartender was very attentive. Even went outside to sit on the deck. Very peaceful. They even have the cutest bathrooms ever!!

Half Moon Lake Lodge was just what the doctor ordered. My wife and I spent 4 fantastic days in this mountain sanctuary and remembered what it was like to not be distracted by all the "noise" in our everyday lives. Tom and Kristi (new owners) have done a great job in year one and made us feel like old friends.... More

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of sitting out on the deck of our cabin with our morning coffee. The view from the cabin was gorgeous! The variety of birds was amazing! We had hummingbirds join us each time we sat on the deck.

Our extended family visited this beautiful spot in early July for a horseback trail ride followed by a late lunch. The horseback ride offered spectacular scenery but was extremely challenging and not for the faint of heart. Ask questions before booking! Lunch on the deck overlooking the lake was outstanding! Both the food and service were wonderful, matching the view.... More

Half Moon is under new management and is having growing pains. The views are spectacular and the Lodge restaurant/bar aesthetic is awesome. We only had the breakfast buffet, which was average, at best. The restaurant lookd a little pricey, but not bad. The cabins, however, are difficult to walk to and the roads to them are more like trails. There... More

This is the most awesome place. Upon arriving (you must drive a few miles in the country, but worth the drive, I promise), you will see the most incredible view of the lake and mountains you have ever seen. This lodge is near a very small town and most would not even look at it, but please do! We had... More

We didn't stay here, but did eat at the restaurant. Stunning food, and a really personal service from the staff, which included trying to teach the two waitresses how to speak English with an English accent! The views at night (and we were lucky, it was a clear night) were amazing across the lake, which just added to the atmosphere.... More

We had hoped to stay nearer to Pinedale, but Half Moon Lake Resort was fully booked, although we ate there that evening. They recommended Half Moon Lake Lodge, five miles further up the lake, and even more isolated. We loved it. Log cabins scattered up the hill, with views over the lake, and absolute peace and quiet. The cabins were... More
